The user interface is a little clunky with the size of the initial page to select where you want delivered, and when. The options selection is very clean and nice. The payment screen is very clean. Other than the initial screen, and the wait times, very very nice

I consistently used GrubSouth over other services because I appreciated that it was locally focused and on par with the prices in other delivery apps (not anymore). They ask you to rate your experience and leave comments after every order - I’ve put suggestions there that are just never read. Customer service is either responsive or completely unhelpful. I still have an email about moldy cupcakes from 2 years ago they never answered. There’s no way to sort the restaurants by delivery fee, distance, etc. They don’t display the star rating or any reviews for the food, so you just guess what’s good (and it doesn’t always pay off). The delivery times are closer to an hour or more no matter when you order (weekend vs. weekdays and times of day). Often my order has been “delayed to keep my food fresh” and it just takes even longer and is cold anyway. On top of that, the app is glitchy and/or slow every time I use it.Now the fees are $5+ for nearby spots and $15-$30 for things that are 15-20 minutes away. Won’t be using GrubSouth anymore.

I’ve used the website and the app and they are both so user friendly! I work across the road from one of their supporting restaurants. I can place my order, set my pickup time, and promptly pick up to return back to the office. I love this App!!

I finally placed my first order on the GrubSouth app last night because one of my favorite restaurants only delivers through GrubSouth. I ordered well before the closing time of the restaurant but my approximate delivery time was 60-90 minutes after closing (I live 15 minutes from the restaurant—tops!). I started worrying after the closing time and then chatted with a very helpful member of the GrubSouth team, but he couldn’t find a record of my order anywhere. I had an email confirmation thanking me for my first order on GrubSouth and it had my items listed on it, the total price, and approximate delivery time. Despite this email, apparently, my order was never even processed and I wouldn’t have been notified that my food was not coming had I not reached out to the GrubSouth team. Thankfully I don’t think my debit card was charged for the order. I wish the app would have kept me from ordering if receiving my food was impossible due to the time. I ended up settling for a different restaurant that was on DoorDash. I’m a DoorDash driver and past user and I’ve always appreciated the confirmations and notifications you receive that tell you when your order is being made at the restaurant, when your driver is on the way to the restaurant, and when they’re on their way to you with your order. I would suggest some similar updates to the GrubSouth app because it’s a great idea for this area, it just needs some work!
