Indie RPG made with passion by a handful of old-school RPG fans.
Eternium is an amazingly fun and beautifully crafted Action RPG, reminiscent of the great classics.
Eternium stands out from other mobile Action RPGs by its effortless “tap to move” and innovative “swipe to cast” controls, and its player-friendly “no paywalls, never pay to win” philosophy.
Drawing signs to cast spells is easy and rewarding. The tap-to-move control is more natural and relaxing than thumbsticks, and it’s also truer to the vintage point-and-click Action RPG experience.
The game can be really played for free, as more than 90% of our players do. Purchases are completely optional. Gems, the game’s main currency, can be collected from enemies and quests. There is no limiting stamina or energy. The best things in the game are obtained by playing, not paying.
With the exception of a couple of online-only features, the game can also be played offline after the content download completes.
Eternium initially launched in 2014, and is actively being improved by the original development team. Through years of polishing, and feedback from millions of players, the quality of the game has steadily increased, making it now one of the highest rated games on the App Store.
Enjoy the visceral satisfaction of responsive, fast-paced combat, with spectacular special effects, pleasing sounds, rewarding damage numbers, all set against immersive backdrops and atmospheric, inspiring music scores.
Play as a Mage, Warrior or Bounty Hunter, wielding a sword, axe, staff or gun. Level up to learn new abilities and increase your attributes.
Battle skeletons, zombies, automatons, aliens, demons, dragons and many other creatures, across four beautifully hand-crafted worlds, or in endless generated levels.
Venture into dark caves and dungeons, explore forests, villages and graveyards, lay siege to demon controlled castles, brave snowy mountain peaks, travel to the moon to slay strange creatures among craters and canyons, and beyond, to the deserts, pyramids and jungles of the red planet.
Open treasure chests to loot gold, gemstones and battle gear. Equip shiny breastplates, menacing helmets and hoods, spiked shoulder pads, mysterious cloaks or capes. Protect yourself with a shield, or choose to wield two weapons as a warrior.
Rescue your tank, healer and ranger companions who will join you in battle. Use their abilities together with yours to create rewarding and powerful tactical combos.
Experience a refreshing storyline, filled with interplanetary intrigue and seasoned with funny characters. Hunt your arch-enemy, Ragadam, across the worlds, while trying to uncover and undo his twisted plans.
Progress from common to rare, epic and legendary gear. Find gemstones that fit in your armor’s sockets. Craft socketed rings and amulets, and fuse three of them into a higher quality one.
Unleash awesome offensive abilities, such as Whirlwind, Shockwave, Arc Lightning or Immolate, control the enemy crowd with Frost Nova, Vortex, Silence, or sneak and assassinate with Smokescreen, Traps and Snipe.
Each hero class has access to about 20 abilities (skills or spells), and each of your three companions has four more. The game starts simple, but culminates in a flurry of tactical possibilities at high levels.
Once your hero reaches level 70, your experience points go into Champion Levels, which are unlimited and yield steady stat upgrades. Champion Levels are also inherited by your new heroes, so they will have an easier time growing up.
Aside from the four story acts, an endless progression of beautiful, randomly generated levels awaits in the Trials of Valor game mode.

As an old school Diablo gamer this game has found a special place in my heart. There have been a number of games that have tried to get the dungeon crawler formula right, but Eternium hits every sweet spot! The maps are just the right size for mobile gaming, clearable fairly quickly so it’s good on the move, but it also gives you a nice sense of exploration. The abilities are well balanced and feel like they really change how the characters are played. Different bosses even encourage changing your abilities and tactics to deal with them instead of one “killer build”. The crafting system is well fleshed out, once you understand how the various mats work and where they come from it’s pretty easy to pick up, but deep enough to keep the grind going. One of the best things I can say about this game is that the developers seem to have hit the sweet spot between free and paid content. They don’t charge an arm and a leg for “gems” (standard in-game currency) and give you plenty of chances to earn them with generous daily quests. It’s an understated thing, but it makes the game EXPONENTIALLY more enjoyable.Overall I have lost a good bit of time playing “just one more map” and have been loving every minute of it. Do yourself a favor, download it and try it for yourself, you won’t be sorry!!!
The one star review is bogus

The game runs perfectly on my IPhone 6. It is not the devs fault that you play on a toaster made in 1990. As for pay to win, there is none. You can get all of the companions simply by playing for a few hours. Nothing has to be purchased and you can get gobs of gems by simply watching short videos, these are a perfect way to catch a breather from the hours of play, which will happen due to the fact that the game is excellent. If you like Diablo or Path of Exile or frankly and hack and slash game at all this is the perfect Mobile option. There are enough levels to play through before moving to the next difficulty to not feel repetition on level design and you can play for hours with no stamina restrictions or need to pay for additional chances to continue gameplay. The only limitation is on the dungeon keys but 1 every 8 hours is realistic considering the quality of loot that can come from them. Class design is fantastic and you do not need to use a specific skill set to advance. As far as difficulty increase at certain points, of course it does. You are literally advancing to a higher difficulty. Not being able to advance simply means that you are not ready to move to the next difficulty, simply run a few dungeons and maybe reroll some gear with defense rather than xp gain. Or here’s a shocker advance your skills to a higher level. A ton of thought went into this game and all of it was perfectly executed. After countless hours of gameplay through all of the difficulties I can safely say that this is the mobile Hack and Slash that you have been waiting for, unless of course you are that one guy trying to play on his Flip Phone!!!
Amazing game 2025
Zerulu
This game needs more up to date reviews August 2025 now. This game is amazing!! The preview listed above is what you get, there is classes and multiple skills and many ways to play in different styles. The main content alone takes a while to get through, I still havnt yet and been playing many hours everyday. If you want to spend $10-20 to get a boost and some extras things you can but you don’t have to. This game claims to be made by a group of gamers and I can tell! Most importantly the game feels good to play, there is multiple leader boards , voluntary PVP, and when you get max level it doesn’t stop there, the levels keep going and are endless similar to prestiges and you can make your character even stronger. Also the crafting is HUGE I’ve spent hours already just sitting there crafting and tweaking my builds. This is a game worth getting and supporting if you can!!Lastly, this is a game you can put down and walk away at anytime and you don’t lose your progress or items. I checked out the Reddit/online posts about this game and it’s outdated, there is a lot of content and even just today they released a whole new event creating more content lasting 9 days on top of the one that was already going on. 10/10
RPG a welcome change of pace!

Eternium reminds me of older RPG’s like Krondor in that it is an easy game to play without looking at a ⏰ and realizing half the night is gone! Addictively entertaining, it can be played without a single in-app purchase, or so I’m told. Gems are tough to come by, but let’s just admit the truth - those who make Eternium available to us, well, they have bills to pay, a family to support and a few other reasons to work. And it is work! Monsters must be balanced but not also mobs have to be a challenge. And they are, the team has done a great job of getting it right while never losing sight of their player’s desire for rewards that aren’t insanely difficult to achieve. Torchlight was a great game, and though Eternium is very similar in its structure and gameplay, this app really shines on a newer iPad with iOS 12 or better. Colors are vivid, details crisp and clean even when zooming in on a screen to see just what that thing 📬 is attached to the wooden post beside the tavern. (Yeah, it’s a mailbox!) Gold is plentiful, enemies fight hard and die “like flys”. The hero speaks with authority and is easy on the ears, his taunts are clever and he lightens what so quickly would have digressed into naught but a tiring grind with no real point and no relief from the combat. Just hours into it my hero is level seven, on the cusp to make eight, and I’m planning a long weekend of gaming! Goals are set and I’m ready to hack ‘n slash, cut ‘n run, bludgeon & crush, in the name of Honor & Courage! Play Eternium and discover what so many already have - “This is not your father’s RPG! This one was made for the new generation, and we love 💕 it!
