Description

Available exclusively for Netflix members.

They're squirmy and curious! Drag and drop living Goo Balls to build everything from bridges to giant tongues in this physics-based puzzle game.

The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore — but they don't know that they're in a game, or that they're extremely delicious. Connect the Goo Balls to build a wide range of jiggly architecture, including: bridges, cannonballs, and zeppelins.

This award-winning game, made entirely by two guys, has been praised for its "ingenious-level design" by IGN and named "Game of the Year" by TouchArcade and Metacritic. Be prepared to be charmed by the weird and wonderful World of Goo.

Features:

• Mysterious Levels: Each level is strange and dangerously beautiful, introducing new puzzles and areas — and the creatures that live in them.

• A Diverse World of Goo Balls: Along the way, undiscovered new species of Goo Ball, each with unique abilities, come together to ooze through reluctant tales of discovery, love, surveillance, beauty, electric power, and the third dimension.

• The Sign Painter: Someone is watching you.

• Build the Tallest Tower in World of Goo Corporation's Mysterious Sandbox: World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's tower building opportunities equally.

Updates for the Netflix edition:

• Hi-Res Art for the Modern Age: The original art for this game was designed to look excellent on screens of years past; it's now updated to double the original resolution for a remastered gameplay experience. The Netflix edition also includes support for modern screen sizes.

• Save Your Progress: Play on your phone or mobile device and track your advancement with cloud save. Each Netflix profile will track progress separately.

Netflix dropped the ball

The game itself is fantastic but this “remaster” is honestly a downgrade from the original. I’m not even gonna complain about needing a Netflix subscription (because who doesn’t have one?), but there are literally features removed from this version that were in the original mobile release. There are nice updates like holding more than one gooball and the better quality textures, but not being able to zoom, a lack of bug fixes, and no new content doesn’t really make this a remaster. Giving it three stars because the game is still great even with the issues

I know you’re better than this Tomorrow Co.

Listen call me stupid for trying to talk to a company I get it but listen, whoever is reading this, if it’s the folks at Netflix or the actual Tomorrow Co. Games folks, I love these games, I would willingly pay again for a remaster of this game all over again, but I just can’t support a subscription for a service that I have literally no reason to want to use just so I can re-experience this game. I am willing to bet that Tomorrow Co. Games doesn’t actually know just what is going on with Netflix but please, whatever you can do, just know that as I fan I want this company and all its games to be available simply for the aspect of preserving something that made the childhood of mine and many others. I know that ya’ll are planning on making another game sometime as well, and I just hope this doesn’t mean you’re just gonna ride off the coattails of the old games and force a Netflix subscription on them, I don’t even know if this is gonna be seen by anything other than a bit programmed to reply to some stuff but please, don’t let some money from a greedy company ruin the possibilities that could come from this franchise and all the games in it, but it’s your final decision Tomorrow Co., your profits or your fans?

Arguably the Greatest Game Ever Made.

That title is not hyperbole.

Check out the piles of prestigious awards it’s been given. Read the glowing professional reviews. You still won’t understand just how brilliant this game really is.

It’s completely unique in so many fantastic ways, and it was all created by a tiny independent developer called 2D Boy.

It’s got story, it’s got social commentary, it’s got physics like butter, it’s got beautiful artwork, it’s got gameplay that stimulates genuine creativity, and I could go on and on. But what really makes this game special is that playing it is an eye opening, enchanting experience. It’s thought provoking entertainment that’s engaging and so much crazy fun. When I first played WoG it changed my relationship with gaming forever.

I won’t comment on the game’s unfortunate lockdown with Netflix, but I will say that this game is well worth playing under any circumstances. A phone is definitely not the best way to experience World of Goo, but if that’s your only option, then play it.

Thank you 2DBoy for creating this gift.
