Super handy and accurate transcriptions

Glad I saw this on the Six Colors blog. I have used a siri shortcut to email myself quick notes for years, but that was limited to only what would fit in the subject line. This app goes miles further! I do have two suggestions, though. First, not being able to take a note in my car through carplay is a big limiting factor. I will still have to use my old shortcut for that. I'd love to see better integration with shortcuts to allow note-taking while driving. Second, I'd like some customization of the email subject line. The auto-generated Whisper Memos text in brackets and two emoji take up needless space. I'd rather see more of my note there. Or better yet, get an AI-generated subject line that is relevant to my memo. Otherwise, great app! I'm subscribing right now!UPDATE: Thanks for adding more control options to the subject line! Definitely makes it cleaner and allows more of the note to show in the subject line.

I stumbled upon the Whisper Memos app while researching everyday tools on a Reddit post, and I’m truly thankful for discovering it. This app has become an essential part of my daily routine.Currently, I have Whisper Memos set to send my transcriptions directly to the inbox on one of my Trello boards, making organization a breeze. I rely on this app for notating my thoughts and currently use it to dictate content for my new blog and upcoming book. I can’t imagine how I managed before using this app.Compared to other dictation apps, Whisper Memos surpasses them in accuracy. It’s evident that the creators value feedback, as they’ve incorporated many user suggestions into the app’s development. It’s reassuring to know that they’re committed to improving and expanding the product.While the 15-minute recording limit works for my current needs, it would be beneficial to have the option to extend it to 30 minutes or an hour, especially for recording meeting notes. Additionally, having the ability to pause recordings and approve or confirm messages before they’re sent would enhance the user experience.One feature I’d appreciate is a lifetime purchase option. While I understand the appeal of subscription models, I prefer the simplicity of a one-time payment for full access to the app.Overall, I’m grateful for Whisper Memos and the time and effort put into its development. Such a Wonderful Tool

This app is really good. It’s certainly useful in my day today for capturing what comes up in the moment. I especially like the Apple Watch integration. I have a couple things that I would like to see implemented better but I’m not sure if this is Whisper Memo’s fault or the Drafts App that receives the automatic transcriptions. I tend to have some syncing issues such as a single recording being duplicated into multiple slightly differently structured recordings/memos. This makes my job a bit more tedious when later processing these memos in Drafts. Also, sometimes there is a delay in uploading the memos from my Apple Watch, which seems to be resolved if I tap the upload button and also open the Whisper Memos app on the iPhone. Again, this is an excellent tool. I’m happy I have it and will keep using it hoping the sync issues can resolve.

I heard about this app and that it was great. So I just tried it unfortunately it looks like they’ve gotten rid of the free ad supported version which for my limited use was all I needed. Now it gives you like 10 tries than you’re forced to the subscription. Too expensive for my limited use. If they had kept that ad supported choice, maybe limited that to 10 uses per week, I would rate this a five.Update: after developers comments, thank you for following up, I see I got some wrong information from the site where I originally learned about this. About the ad support version. And also the prices mentioned were a lot higher than what they actually are. so I’ll try the promo for one year and see how it goes. Changed to five stars.

Hi, we actually never had an ad supported version, only the paid option.And it is necessary for this to be a paid app because we use the OpenAI APIs, which are quite expensive, but provide the best quality transcription.I hope this helps.
