I’M SAFE brings the people you trust together in private Bubbles for everyday coordination and personal safety. Share your location when you choose, follow Journeys, use Zones, coordinate in Chat and understand whether an update is live, recent or stale. The app and its core features are available worldwide, subject to local store, connectivity, provider and legal availability.
PRIVATE BUBBLES
Create invite-only Bubbles for family, friends, partners, travel groups or other people you trust.
• Share location with the Bubble you choose
• See clearly dated location and useful phone context
• Go Private when you want to stop new location updates
• Follow Journeys and keep travel updates together
• Save Zones and review relevant Bubble activity
• Coordinate in Bubble Chat and keep selected Saved Messages
Going Private stops new updates. Your last known location may remain visible with its timestamp so people do not mistake older information for a live update.
COMMUNITY — IN SELECT CITIES
Community is a local, moderated space for safety-focused conversations, practical city tips and community-reported map observations. It is available to eligible users in select cities.
Community contributions are not emergency alerts, professional advice or verified statements that a place is safe. Map observations describe an approximate public area and expire from public view after seven days. You can report content, block contributors and choose whether your public contribution shows your name. I’M SAFE still retains account ownership for moderation, safety and deletion.
PRACTICAL SAFETY TOOLS
• SOS — deliberately alert eligible Bubble members and follow the confirmed delivery state. I’M SAFE does not contact police, ambulance or fire services.
• Ask for Help — in India where enabled, send an identified private request to I’M SAFE support. Bubble members cannot see it. It is not an emergency service.
• Vault — protect notes, selected photos, files and deliberate audio records with iPhone authentication and encrypted local storage. Vault content is encrypted on this iPhone. Optional encrypted backup uses a Recovery Key; exporting a record shares an unencrypted copy with the app you choose.
TAGS, APPLE WATCH AND WIDGETS
Optional I’M SAFE Tags work with a compatible paired iPhone to help find attached items nearby, play a sound, provide separation alerts and deliberately trigger supported SOS actions. Tags require Bluetooth, permissions, app/device availability and nearby range. They are not standalone GPS trackers. Apple Watch and widgets make a limited set of supported actions easier to reach; setup and detailed maps remain on the iPhone.
I’M SAFE PLUS
Plus adds more history, Vault creation and storage, organisation and Bubble capacity. Plan benefits, limits, pricing and billing period are shown before purchase. Plus never changes whether emergency services are available.

I’M SAFE helps people coordinate; it cannot confirm that another person or place is safe. Location, alerts, Community, support and device features depend on permissions, connectivity, service availability, current eligibility and recipient devices.
I’M SAFE is not an emergency service and does not contact police, ambulance or fire services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service directly.

I tested the recordings option and if ringer mode is on will make the loud shutter sound effect, and two bright flashes.. not very sneaky. Recording and location features work well, fake phone call works okay, but it doesn’t look like certain kinds of phone which could make a nice addition.
This update improves account-session handling and background request reliability, with additional checks around verification availability and resend waiting periods.
