So without trying to compare this new app to the former and point out things I would like to see according to personal preference, I will say that 1. The app opens up and plays the episodes without any problems. I was able to watch one from beginning to end with no issues or interruptions in between. 2. I love that we can now donate (feels a little weird being able to say that word now haha)3. I like that each episode has a small picture that you click on instead of a big oneThe only ‘negative’ things I noticed is that when the episode I watched finished, the screen displayed an error message that the ‘file’ couldn’t be opened/played. Not sure if it was in reference to the next episode it might have been trying to start or the one I had just finished watching. But the app closed shortly after I think. I’m sure this will be fixed soon :) This app literally just became available so it’s not going to be perfect. Suggestions: On the episode selection screen it would be nice if it didn’t start playing a episode before I got a chance to click on it, the drop down menu on the episode selection screen to switch between seasons is probably unnecessary… personally think it’s better to click the ‘watch’ tab and choose a season from the homepage, making it easier to find the pilot and The Messengers episode would be awesome (instead of having to scroll through all the other extras to find them)

When I first heard about this show, I was very worried it was going to be locked behind a paywall like so many other media. That would’ve made it much less accessible to the wide majority of people who can’t afford a subscription service, or the few who don’t few comfortable giving their money to mega corporations (such as me.) so seeing an app that makes the chosen free for all to watch is a MASSIVE relief and makes it much easier for me to enjoy the magnus opus of christian entertainment without spending the little money I have. I highly recommend watching the chosen even if you are an atheist or agnostic (and this is coming from a UU Christian, a type of Christian that isn’t really respected or treated well within mainstream Christianity) because it really differs from the cultist “your going to hell if you don’t convert or follow my interpretation of the bible” Christianity that has unfortunately plaque our society.

I really have grown to love this show. My wife and son watched it right after the first season with the other conformation students at our church. I didn’t start watching until probably about half way through Season 2, and I’ve been hooked since then. I have watched The Shepard and The Messengers, loved them. I have also watched the Gen Z reaction video and was blown away by their views and reactions to the show. This show really is made for everyone and of all ages. I’m so excited for more people to get hooked to it and maybe even start donating through the come and see foundation so we as a community can see all 7 seasons that Dallas has planned for us. I also really would like to see the interest get so unbelievable that Dallas starts working on Acts and even some Old Testament like Moses and Noah. It would be an even better existence down here if we had the whole Bible in a visual form. Get used to different and come stir the water with us.

I am a huge fan of the Chosen and I am grateful it exists! I think everyone should watch it! However, since they changed to the new app, it is now the worst experience. I had no problems the first three seasons but season 4 has been nothing but a headache. First of all you need to have a log-in in order to watch it. This is quite normal but on this app it was not easy. The first time around this was a huge pain, not user friendly, and cumbersome. Now that I am trying to watch the show months later, the app wouldn’t recognize my info, I only have 1 email address so I know the issue was not me lol. So I had to create another account. Next, watching the episodes is so weird. It’s like the settings are off. When trying to backup a little, it skips large periods and you cannot stop it! The app literally crashed when I tried to press play to get the rewind to stop. I was rewatching the season, finished episode 2 and the next episode automatically played. While that sounds normal, it was actually episode 7 that started to play, not episode 3! The app I have on my phone is great. The same app when used on the tv is the absolute worst.
