(For context I’m in middle school and my parents are strict with allowance and money so Modak has changed my life) First of all, the AirPods thing is real. I got them a few months ago and I love them so much (THANK YOU MODAK!!!!!) I use them every day but I can’t afford my own AirPods because I just don’t have that kind of money so I was so happy when I got them but anyways…I LOVE Modak so much. Weather it’s saving up my mbx for cash, or managing all of my savings goals, or keeping track of my finances, Modak has my back. It helps so much with things like ordering what I want to order online, or getting a soda or two without having to carry around a bunch of dollar bills. Aside from practical uses of having a kids account, I also have learned so much about money after getting this app. If I want a new book that just came out, I have to think through everything now, for example, “I was saving that money for a new mascara so now I have to make more money from babysitting so if I work X more hours than I can…” and it helps with real life skills 🙃ok that was my rant gbye

This app is super helpful towards me! I am a teen, 16 to be exact, and have only had the app for a couple of months but here are my thoughts. I have friends that are older than me that all possess jobs & cars it's hard to not feel left out. Modak has made it super convenient with that! It keeps track of your spending, gives you points that can be converted into money (which they are called MBX), not only are you able to have a physical card, but you can add it to your apple wallet, & one of the best parts of this app is that parents are able to monitor your spending and your budgets, etc. this app helps me learn how to manage my money and spend it with precautions due to it being extremely focused on earning & saving money. With this comes responsibilities you have but overall I believe this is a great starting app for younger kids with learning how to budget & spend/save money wisely.

I personally think Modak is a great app to use for money. The reason why I say this is because it’s really easy to make savings for things you want which really helps so you don’t spend the money on something else. I also really like how they have chores and allowance. I like the chores because you can get rewarded for them. But your parent has to approve of the money,so don’t just earn money. I also really like the allowance so that if a parent gives allowances they wouldn’t have to pull out money for the kid,instead you can just transfer it. I also like the challenges and the scratch off’s you can do on Modak so you can earn MBX. I like the MBX because it helps give you extra cash when you earn enough. I think Modak is pretty great!

My mom and I decided together we would buy this card for myself, so I wouldn’t have to use cash anymore. The money at first transferred in great, and the games were fun aswell, but the biggest problem was the fact that I could not use the card at all. I had $206 dollars on that card, and couldn’t use a dime. After this, me and my mom attempted to transfer the money out; however this did not work. You literally cannot get your money out of the card, unless we contact support, AND YOU CANT USE THE CARD ON AN ATM. When we tried to put the card on venmo, it said that the information we put was invalid, even though it was clearly correct. (We had also activated the card days before this.) When my mom was trying to take out the $200 dollars, she by mistake added $200 more. Our family doesn’t have a lot of money and we cannot afford this. Now there is $400 dollars stuck in a account in which the money cant be transferred out of, or used. This app caused more problems than anything else, and I highly do not recommend.
