USER FEEDBACK
* "The best breathing app out there (I've tried 12 apps, this is the only one that works for me). I have recommended it to over 100 people over the 7 years I've been using it. I use it at least 5 x a week. Gives me instant calm" — R. Hall
* "LOVE this app. Very simple and easy to use. You can set time for inhale, exhale, and pause after each if you wish. You can watch it or listen…Thank you! Ads Not intrusive. Ads turn off when the app is active” — Denise
* "This is a wonderfully simple app. The default sound tone is just right for me and I like that I get to set the volume and it stays there whether or not the volume of the phone ring or other apps are different" — Eleanor
* "I've never written something like this in a review but... I love whoever wrote this app :-) Gets to the point in 0.2 s. No long annoying splash screens. No attempts to extort money... Super reliable, simple and 100% effective. I was looking for something that would let me take some breaks during normal meditation to do some controlled breathing, for example our most natural pattern - continuous 5.5 s inhale, 5.5 exhale. This app lets me remain in silence, fixing my rhythm by vibrations, and just... works perfect! BRAVO. A lesson to all developers how to make useful apps!" — Adam

DISCLAIMER
App not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent medical conditions. Consult a healthcare professional before starting a breathing practice, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions.
Found this app after reading James Nestor’s book called Breath. Previously, I’ve tried other breathing apps, some with bells and whistles. However, all I needed was a way to count breaths to the tenth of a second. This apps does exactly this, and with optional sound/visual/haptic. Everything is adjustable on the main screen, while miraculously staying simple and clean visually.
Too easy to turn off
pelican2012
I like this app a lot because it lets me easily set a time for inhale, the time for exhale, whether I want to hold after either the inhale or the exhale, and the length of the session. My only complaint is that if I accidentally touch the screen, it ends the session. Often I have the phone sitting on a table beside me while I breathe, and I will pick it up to see how many minutes have gone by accidentally touch the screen and the session is over. And I have no record of how many minutes have passed. I would like the app to have a different way to easily pause or end the session .
Developer Response
Hey there, I’m looking to add a pause mode at some point, if you email me (hello@pacedbreathing.app), I’d love to get more details so I can design this feature well for you.
Consistency is key

I started with the free app but soon updated to the subscription. I love to be able to save my routines and track my progress. There are so many more expensive and complicated apps, but I think this, in its simplicity, works really well. And Mihai has been really helpful when I looked for help. I already shared with many of my friends!

Biggest Star Wars fan!!!1!
This app is fantastic. My wife and I dove deep on the Breath book, mouth tape and all. I’ve struggled with the counting part of breathing exercises, and this app solves that. I can look at the screen to get started, and it even buzzes when my screen goes off, keeping me in check. Highly recommend!
