Years ago I’d pay all my bills by writing a check and sending by mail. If I forgot to buy stamps, my only option was to pay in person at Georgia Power on Broughton Street, standing in line with all the other people who waited until the last minute to pay their bill. Other locations that would accept payment became available, but the option to pay with a debit or credit card over the phone I loved it when one could pay over the phone, even though talking to a robot was frustrating. Smart phones brought access to paying online by going to the website, but I always had to search old emails to find the website because it wasn’t easy to remember the website address. That’s why I love this app. It’s so quick and easy to pay the bill after you set up your payment information.

I want to thank Georgia Power for making an app that makes paying your bill to acknowledging a power failure at your house or the block your neighbors live on. Also, I was looking at all the valuable data provided. I came upon a graph showing me the cost of electricity used per hour per day of the billing cycle. I can view the hour of the day that it cost me the most or less in electricity. I am going to start reviewing this data to see when I can reduce my cost per hour. Additional information is available by GP recording the temperature outside for the observed data. This 73 yr old male has much time on his hands. I am going to use this time to reduce my electricity consumption by reducing cost. Who knows what else I could find on this app to save my cost of electricity. Thanks to GP for making our lives better.

The Georgia Power App has been working great up until just recently. I have pay as you go setup and have been paying that way for years, so I’m always checking my balance on the app. I love being able to see my daily usage and can pay quickly, but lately, the app has been having technical issues. I can’t see my balance or do anything else. It just says balance $0.00 and to check back later. I have been able to logon the old way and pay, but I’m so accustomed to the app now! What should I do? This has been going on for a couple of weeks now!
