Skān is an absolute game changer for skincare recs! The platform is super user friendly (& really aesthetic) and all you have to do is sign up with an email, take a clear picture of your face, and the AI technology does the rest for you! It spots the places on your skin that need the most attention, & gives you skincare recommendations for those specific areas. I never really knew what to use for my skin, but now with this app, I got myself a whole new skincare routine!

I love this app as I’m someone that has a hard time finding out what products should work with my skin. I paid for the yearly subscription so I could get a full routine with products tailored to my skin concerns. Now with all that said, it’s a great app but could be better. First the app has been crashing non-stop when just looking at products. Second, I’ve had to manually click on every product as the rating may change after I click the item. Third if you do click on the product and go backwards, it scrolls you all the way to the top. Not to mention, sometimes it links to a completely different product. I also wish I could have a routine made by some of the products I’ve put “on my shelf” in the app, but that’s not the case. Overall it’s good at finding products that will help your skin but that’s about it. You’ll learn about good and bad ingredients but not how to use them correctly. Also the fact that I paid for the app and it crashes non-stop is a huge pain.

So It does address all of your skin issues when you take a picture of your face. For example, it shows you where your pores, redness, acne areas, etc. BUT-, in order for it to recommend actual products for you, you need to pay a subscription, costing 5.99$ per month (In total, nearly 72$ per year). If you want something free, I don’t recommend this app.
