I'm a huge fan of the TYB app and the concept behind it. It's such a fun and engaging way to discover new brands and products that I otherwise probably wouldn't have come across. I'm giving it five stars because I really do love the experience, but if I could give it 4.5, I would. My only issue is with the OBSESSIONS feature. I've been really excited to use it, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. I've made sure to follow all the steps, like using my coins for orders and ensuring my email address matches the one on my account, but that part of the app has never unlocked. It's a bit of a bummer since it seems like a core part of the experience, but otherwise, I think the app is fantastic and I'm always excited to see what's new, from various types of challenges from my fav brands to discovering new brands and products, etc. also, using the coins is THE BEST. Love this app.

In the past several months, the usability of the app has become increasingly poor and frustrating. The most recent update has completely broken notifications, spamming me constantly with "X user commented on a challenge you're in" and thoroughly burying any notifications I actually want to see like new posts from brands. Mind, these aren't comments involving me in any way. These aren't people I follow, these are notifications for challenges I haven't interacted with at all. Also, months ago they removed the ability to filter the home page, changed location of the brand chats, and made a number of layout changes that are more frustrating than they are beneficial. The inability to filter your home feed to show most recent posts causes many brand posts to get buried and go completely missed, and the spam of brand-shared "Obsessions" from users no longer being filterable is also impossibly frustrating. I can't imagine it's very reassuring for brands either to know their content is getting buried under an influx of Obsessions getting shared from weeks ago and a poorly tuned algorithm. This is a real shame, I hope the layout of the app can settle in a more user friendly place soon. But most of all, the notifications. Please fix the notifications. I don't care if someone commented on a post I also can see, this should have an opt out feature from the start and even disabling every notification doesn't remove this.

As far as connecting with brands and enjoying the benefits of being in a community of fans, this app is amazing. The trouble is with notifications not working properly recently. 1. Instead of just getting brand notifications, somehow user comments are now appearing as notifications even when you have challenge updates turned off. 2. And not all challenges get a notification either. 3. Additionally, the developers removed the function to filter your main feed. And because it is never fully chronological, and due to not all challenges having a notification, it can be very easy to miss things from your favorite brands. Instead you scroll endlessly through user highlights. 4. More and more users are using AI to complete obsessions. There needs to be a protocol to ensure images and videos are created fairly, especially now that people can receive commissions. If brands are okay with AI submissions, it should be flagged. I’ve had to turn off all notifications until those are fixed. It’s exhausting to get constant comment notifications. Please fix asap! Love TYB but this is frustrating.

this app started out absolutely amazing and was something i constantly promoted! it was a great way to connect with brands and earn free products/money to buy products.unfortunately, the app has gone considerably downhill since the beginning. tyb promised us users that they would not be like crypto, but now the value of coins has significantly decreased!! they claimed that they would up total coin amounts you currently had in order to account for this but i and many other users are still at less than a third of the original amount of coins we had- some as bad as going from $100 worth to only $20. it is so incredibly frustrating to see what they said wouldnt happen happen, and while i completely understand that the team is small, it is almost impossible to get in contact with support. at this point they are not responding to anyone inquiring about major loss in coins. i wish i could say i still recommend this app but the fact that im creating and promoting and LOOSING compensation while i do so makes the app not even feel worthwhile anymore. i really hope they fix this eventually…
