FL Studio Remote is a free, customizable virtual MIDI controller built by the FL Studio team. It doesn’t produce sound - instead, it connects to FL Studio over WiFi to control it like a physical MIDI controller. Use pads, faders, knobs, and even create your own layouts to suit your workflow.
To get started, open FL Studio on your computer and launch FL Studio Remote on your iOS device. As long as both devices are connected to the same network, the connection is automatic - no setup required.
Once connected, you can:
* Control FL Studio instantly, including instruments and effect plugins, just like any other MIDI controller.
* Connect up to 15 devices at once, whether they’re Phones, Tablets, or Chromebooks.

This app works great because it makes it so easy for one person to record by themselves, not having to go back to the computer to press R again or stop. Stepping away from the instrument or mic setup you are trying to capture could get annoying pretty quickly if you are just working by yourself because you lose that creative momentum with all that back and forth between daw and instrument. This app relieves some of those problems with solo artists because you can remotely control your recording away from your computer still near the microphone (if you’re singing) or playing a piano.There is however, just one feature to be desired.I am surprised that image line didn’t launch this app with the ability to undo a recording. I find myself still having to go back to my computer to delete or undo a take that I know I won’t use given how terrible it came out. It’s something I do instinctively and would appreciate this feature being added. I understand you fl has loop recording and you can just delete the ones you didn’t like but I’d rather just delete takes when they happen if they are really bad. 4 stars but adding that feature would make this app a perfect companion for recording as a solo artist.
