I just downloaded this app to see what it was like and I’m very impressed. The app is well interfaced and pretty interactive. I very much like the matching interests section, however I’d like to be able to pick more interests than just four. Furthermore I’d love if there was an option to “befriend” someone and get suggestions based on what groups your “friends” join. It would also be nice to be able to see who’s in a group before joining it to see if the people represent what your interests are. Overall this app is really well done. I’m excited to use it.P.s. I almost forgot to mention, I met one of the founders in one of the groups and she was super kind! It’s nice to know the people developing the app have true interests in what they are providing.

as the title says: the men on this app are truly awful and predatory. during my trip to berlin, i joined a queer group in hopes of finding other queer people. im a lesbian but i was willing to hang out with anybody. i met up with this guy from the queer group and immediately noticed he was flirting with me. he was touching my very inappropriately (squeezing my stomach, touching my face+neck, and putting his hand near my private parts). he described in vivid detail a 3some he had with two bisexual girls during a lesbian night at a club. that's when it clicked me for: he wants a 3some with bisexual women again. when i explained that im a lesbian, he dismissed it immediately and said "you're too pretty. you're bi". like ok... im not... when i explained that to him he told me i just havent found the right guy. another instance was when this guy, who was ALSO from the queer group, dmed me asking to hang out. once again i assumed he was queer. when we breached the topic of me being a lesbian, he immediately assumed i was trans. i had to explain to him that i'm not. once again: this man said i was too pretty to be a lesbian. he told me i could kiss him like he was a woman. EW!!!!! when i tried to report both of these men, nothing happened bc technically these conversations were not on the app. if u are a woman, especially a lesbian woman, DELETE THE APP IMMEDIATELY. you will not find any travel friends: just creepy men who prey on women traveling alone.

Met one of my best friends 2 years ago on this app. We now work for a foundation and travel the world documenting the foundations efforts in providing aid to communities around the world. Thanks trip bff!Of recent the changes to the interface have really limited the ability to connect with others however. For instance the alterations to the group plans portion of the app I can no longer join a “Central America” group chat because if the person who made it did so in Panama and I’m now in Nicaragua even though the group is made for all of Central America it won’t let me join. It’s a lot tougher to get connected to people unless they’re actively Right where you are, but where I found this app worked best was reaching out to others in advance we’d get acquainted and make plans to meet when we eventually traveled to the destination a couple days weeks or months later. Also yall are missing Eswatini on the country counter and have East timor/timor leste twice haha

I’ve reported a member on this app who is unsafe and abusive and this app has refused to acknowledge my email about it as well as the evidence shown. I think that the developers may have racially discriminated me because I am not a white person and I sent a picture of me and the member who is in illegal activity and they did not do anything about it. At this point I believe this app is racist. I also received an email from someone named Alex who represented the bff trip app who was very dismissive and rude to me and I will be reporting this app to Apple directly. Here is a paragraph of what was said to me, quoted directly from the email. This is what the person named Alex from trip bff said to me, “Also, regarding your review accusing us of being racist, you can't just throw that word around because something doesn't go exactly how you want it...” Instead of banning the member who is clearly violating its use and is a white person. They attack the coloured person who reported the white member. Yet Alex wants to know why I claim this app is biased to white people. Hmmmm I wonder why.
