BATTERY STATUS
View each accessoryʼs battery level as a percentage alongside a glyph which gets highlighted if it is running low. Selecting an accessory will let you see even more details about the device including charge status, trends and more.
NOTIFICATIONS
Get notified before an accessory runs out of battery with support for notifications. Notifications are fully customizable from the Settings screen.
BATTERY TRENDS
View a history of your accessory battery levels and see when it was last charged/replaced so you can determine how long a battery lasts.

BATTERY TYPES
Set the battery type for each accessory from a preset list of options or choose your own so you know what you need when it comes to charging/replacing them. Battery types are suggested using a local database and the power of Apple Intelligence.
THIRD PARTY SERVICES
HomeBatteries supports integrating with Philips Hue, SwitchBot and SOMA, using their APIs, to pair devices with Apple Home accessories. This means devices added to Apple Home, often via Matter, can now display their battery level in HomeBatteries.
ICLOUD SYNC
Trend data and settings for all of your accessories sync over iCloud so you can access them from your other Apple devices.

Please note that devices should have already been setup in the Apple Home app to use this app. Not all battery powered devices expose their battery level to HomeKit and will therefore not appear in HomeBatteries or the Home app. Notifications & widgets may not be up-to-date 100% of the time due to limitations with accessing HomeKit in the background but there is a Shortcuts Automation that can be enabled to improve this. Some features may require a HomeBatteries+ subscription which can be purchased in the app. You can cancel at anytime.

Great simple app for monitoring batteries of HomeKit accessories

This app is a new app. It's made by an independent developer. Kudos to the developer for having the idea to make this app. The developer has implemented several cool features in the app. You're actually able to tell the app what kind of battery the devices take and also how many they take. I think the app could use a couple of simple UI fixes and the lifetime subscription of $20 is a bit steep for a simple app like this, but I'll happily pay it since it's not a large company making the app.

The app itself is well designed and provides great information but I paid for notifications and I haven’t received a single notification about batteries dropping below my set thresholds and double checked all my settings so not sure what is going on but I have had multiple batteries die without warning.Update: Developer reached out to me and suggested to set up a data refresh shortcut and this resulted in me finally receiving a low battery notification. Absolutely ridiculous that this isn’t baked into the app and also isn’t made clear anywhere that these steps are required to make it work. It’s obscured behind a menu item in the app settings. Adding a star just based on the customer service.

The best app for Smart Device Batteries

I have several HomeKit type apps that do many things and some have similar functions to thus app but just a Swiss Army knife doesn’t excel at any one thing, Home batteries is the best app I’ve found for displaying information on my devices and battery states. The new 2.0 update is awesome. Also note it’s not just subscription based there is a low one time lifetime purchase price which is what I’m on board with it. This is for battery trends. Don’t need trends? Just use it a free app!

The number of updated and added features in version 2 made this already useful app even better. It was an instant subscribe for me. I regularly spend more than the annual subscription price on a single drink at a restaurant, and I get far less value from the drink. Thanks for continuing to add useful features to this somewhat niche app!
HomeBatteries has been updated to support iOS, iPadOS & watchOS 27 and the following new features & improvements:
- Accessories can now be sorted by name, device type, battery levels, last charge/replacement date or battery type. This setting syncs via iCloud.
- Battery types are now suggested based on a local database and Apple Intelligence. There is also a corresponding Shortcuts action too.
- Added estimated charge/replacement date and average battery life states to the Battery Trends section. Corresponding Shortcuts actions are also available.
- Added Philips Hue to 3rd party integrations. This means users running a Hue Bridge Pro will now see their batteries in HomeBatteries. Please note this only works whilst connected to the same network.
- Added SOMA to 3rd party integrations. Please note this only works whilst connected to the same network.
- Added a new Shortcuts action to fetch a list of battery trends data. This also shows a graph snippet when run.
- Added a Shortcuts snippet to actions that return a battery level.
- Rooms and homes can now be reordered from either the sidebar or room/home picker. This syncs via iCloud.
- Added a context menu action to log a battery charge/replacement on an accessory’s row.
- Added the ability to disable grouping by rooms so all accessories can be sorted overall. This syncs via iCloud.
- Added the ability to show last battery charge/replacement date on an accessory’s row. This syncs via iCloud.
- Showing the battery type on an accessory’s row can now be disabled. This syncs via iCloud.
- Rooms can now be selected from the top toolbar on iPhone.
- Notifications will now always be shown after the Refresh Data automation has been run instead of at random times so setting a time for the automation to run should now be the time you want a notification to appear.
- If the Refresh Data automation has never run, a message will now be shown in-app to alert you. This can be dismissed and will only be shown once after having the app installed for over 24 hours.
- Refreshed the underlying architecture of HomeBatteries to make it more stable and use less storage on your device. The Refresh Data automation has also been improved to prevent showing a timeout error.
- Updated Shortcuts actions to better support the new version of Siri.
- Accessories are now cached in Spotlight for quick launching.
- Improved support for accessories that have not been configured correctly in Apple Home by manufacturers.
- Updated the minimum OS version required.
- Fixed a bug where accessories may not be sorted correctly.
- Fixed a bug where incorrect SwitchBot devices may be removed from the settings screen.
- Other bug fixes & improvements.
