Used the old Barstool app on occasion for small fun bets. Always had full access to promos that I would sometimes use. Downloaded the ESPN Bet app to find out for some reason I had been instantly promo banned. Contacted supported several times throughout the week to at first be told that I was eligible for all promos and bonus bets and to give it up to 72 hours/reinstall the app. Until on the 5th time suddenly the tune was changed to “you are not eligible for any promos due to player activity and a myriad of reasons” I was confused and tried to at least find out the specific reason why this happened because I had not used Barstool much at all and always had full access to promos. Was given ambiguous passive aggressive answers when I wanted to know why suddenly I went from being told I was eligible and it’s a visual glitch and having to follow all these troubleshooting suggestions to suddenly being told I am banned from all promos as a casual $5-$10 bet player. Was met with more non-answers when I wanted to know the exact reason why my account activity caused this before the support person just left the chat. Was excited to see how ESPN Bet was going to be but I have zero desire to use it in the future if they’re going to just promo ban a casual user of their old app from the start. Plenty of other sportsbooks that offer promos for me to use they will not get any of my business ever again I have withdrawn the little money I kept in my account on here. Really disheartening for me so everyone please be wary of this.

*** I highly recommend downloading this app if you like being told different things and being sent in circles to receive your funds. *** I downloaded the app to receive their new customer promo “bet $10, receive $100 bonus win or lose.” I put a $10 bet in and won $85. After receiving the bonus money, i attempted to withdrawal the $85. I was told I’d receive it in 24-72 hours. Sounds normal. Until the next day I was told i hit the “threshold” deposit amount and needed to provide proof of who I was. Ok. Also sounds normal besides the “threshold” part. Until they made me send them a selfie of me holding my passport, a selfie of me holding the card i deposited the money with, AND the card i withdrew the money to. Days go by and they say they still can’t verify me. So frustrating because FanDuel or DraftKings doesn’t do all this. They are not requesting i send my BANK STATEMENT showing the deposit amount before I can receive my funds. Most banks do not release statements for the current month until the NEXT month. So now I have to wait 3 weeks to prove I deposited the money from my card? Also in their email, it stated I only needed to submit the statement if i didn’t have physical possession of the credit card WHICH I DID. there is no customer service call line, just a lot of agents telling you different things and sending emails but not responding in a timely manner nor answering the questions I have. It should not be this hard to receive my winnings and verify who I am. The app is overall a scam. They just want you to give up so they don’t have to pay you out.

Their scoreboard showing I am winning it by 12 whereas I placed it in +12.5 but later after few hours my winning amount goes by minus as it stated loss REGRADED. That’s crazy,Numerous times, I found myself in situations where my winning bets were displayed as losses on the scoreboard. This discrepancy not only caused confusion but also led to a significant loss of trust in the platform's integrity. Despite reaching out to their customer support team for clarification and resolution, I was met with unsatisfactory responses that failed to convince me of the platform's reliability. The lack of accountability and proper resolution from ESPN Bet further exacerbated my frustration. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this app to others who are seeking a reliable and trustworthy betting experience. In conclusion, my experience with ESPN Bet has been marred by a malfunctioning scoreboard and inadequate customer support. Until these issues are addressed and resolved, users should exercise caution when using this platform for their betting activities.

I’m not a big gambler, and I only play when I get free Monopoly money. So maybe I’ve just happened to use this app at times when it’s not working correctly. But it’s never really been fully usable for me. An example: when placing a bet, using credits from taking a survey, I typed in my amount and then hit the switch to use credits. Prior to telling it I wanted to use credits, it gave me the option to bet. Once I selected credits, it said I needed to deposit money, despite showing my credits balance right there. This isn’t a consistent problem; that exact function had worked correctly a few minutes before. I know these apps have to have a lot of security and whatnot built in to comply with regulations, and that all that probably causes problems they can’t predict; but this is a really pathetic attempt. And this isn’t exactly an app problem, but it’s worth noting that the rules for what you can and can’t parlay are entirely arbitrary and not in line with any other sports books.Update: this might actually be the worst app I’ve ever used! There are so many things that work in the exact opposite of the way they should. It’s unbelievable that this was made by people who get paid to design apps.
