The app is pretty good and the development team uses player feedback to improve it. Some of the major issues are still the freezing up where it shows you as disconnected. Sometimes it connects back quickly and sometimes you have to restart the app. Also, they really need to get the Credit card deposit working again. Some players dont use crypto and may not live close to a club. I am limited to crypto and am an hour and a half from the closest club. Makes it difficult to play if I cant make a deposit.

Action is reminiscent of pre Black Friday, amazing! However the app itself leaves a lot to be desired: very slow moving, laggy, and if you ever tell support about it they tell you it’s due to internet or low battery on your end. No push notifications to tell you it’s your turn, when jumping between apps on your phone. When tables break during tournaments, often time your frozen or delayed at the old table sometimes forcing you to miss your current action on the new table. Most importantly: PLEASE GIVE AN OPTION FOR BIG BLIND VIEW. A lot of players base their decisions around blind depth, and we don’t need to see total chip counts, this is standard online.

The game will lag. It will seat you at a new tournament table but the UI will leave you at your old one so you have to exit the tournament and re-enter it to find your new table. It will relentlessly fold hands for you while it does it. Don’t multi-table or you’ll miss when it happens and it will happen a LOT. Sometimes it just freezes and you have to restart the app. Sometimes you miss two full orbits while it just keeps shuffling you and you keep trying to find your new table only to get moved again. I just played down from 200 players to 22 with 20 in-the-money. I had an average stack, and was force-blinded out of the tournament by these bugs on the bubble. Again. I’m done playing on this site and I definitely want that last tournament buyin back.

I’ve been playing on HJ for almost a year and at first it seemed ok, THEN I noticed how the algorithm rewards risky, ALL-IN low probability hands. At first I thought it was a few one-offs, but 70% of the 300+ plays I noted awarded the riskier, all-in, pre-flop players. Very unlikely in reality. Also, I read websites, rules, etc. and I like companies to do what they state. On the website, it states withdrawals can be made via Bitcoin to a crypto wallet, but YOU CANNOT WITHDRAW WITH BITCOIN. You are REQUIRED to go to a physical Texas Card House location for any withdrawal. My advice: There are better poker apps. If you do use HJ, BEWARE! Don’t put a lot of money on the app and know that the player with 2-7 off, all-in, may get a four of a kind and beat a full house. 🧐😒
