I’ve used a few diet and nutrition apps and I can only compare based on that usage and how well they work on my accountability to lose weight. Any app will become tiresome to me after the initial stages, but I’ve stuck with Reverse Health longer because it is simple in its operation. It’s a day-to-day app. I cannot look back at past meals, which would be helpful to me to reconnect with my successful days. But the simplicity of it keeping me moving forward is helping me in my success with meal planning and staying on-point. The helpful tips each day truly are helpful. They are thoughtful. The recipes have mostly been very good and enjoyable and ones that I will repeat. There’s a bit of an assumption on sorting out swaps but I appreciate that assumption that I should know a few things by now. It does not connect with fitness trackers, but maybe that’s why they can keep the price lower to join. Overall, I don’t want an app that consumes my day with extra information or assessments on my personality. I want help in staying within the guardrails so that I can engage in successful and sustainable weight loss. The Facebook group admin is VERY responsive to questions or comments and that makes it a great companion to this app.

I’m new to the app and think it’s a pleasant user experience. I really like the exercises and think they are challenging yet appropriate for where I am in my fitness journey. If it was just based on the exercises I would give 5 stars. The meal plan and recipes are completely unusable to me. The questionnaire that was used to develop my program did not accurately capture my situation or was not able to accommodate it. So I’m completely ignoring that aspect of the program. The problem is that the money back guarantee is only effective I’d you use the entire program. You can get also get your money back with a doctors note. This would be fine if the issue was a physical issue. However with regards to diet, my doctor is not a nutritionist and asking her to write a note for this would be out of her scope. The recipes are not necessarily bad, just not for me. However, even if I could follow the meal plan, it was not organized in a manner that would make meal prep and shopping easy. So I’m actually glad I’m not following that part of the program. I do think the questionnaire was misleading because it made it seem like the plan could accommodate my dietary restrictions but it does not. In essence I’m over-paying for the program because I’m not using the nutrition aspect. But I do like the exercises and I think I’ll get a lot out of that part of the program. I already stopped my subscription from renewing and I’m hoping I will learn enough from the exercises that I will be able to continue a fitness routine on my own when I’m done with my subscription.

Recipes don’t stay current to correct day, past data disappears, customer service unhelpful.

For the first three days the app worked well. Then I woke up to find Friday’s recipes listed on “My Day” when it was Saturday. Not a good sign. I could still see my past data at this point. I could also look under the “meal plan” tab to the current day which was accurate. It showed Saturday’s (not the previous days) meals listed under Saturday for me. This was a problem but I worked through it to get my day going. Later, I updated my app and restarted my phone as their FAQ suggests, but nothing changed- still stuck on Friday under “My Day.” I Read their FAQ which told me to uninstall/reinstall the whole app to solve the issue. This only resulted in me losing ALL my previous data. I had logged quite a bit of helpful data in the week I used the app. Customer service chat was very unhelpful. Leaving me to sit for over 20 minutes when wait time was “a few minutes”, telling me they were closing the ticket even though my multiple issues weren’t solved. Also I repeatedly requested to be directed as to how to receive a refund and those requests were ignored by customer service. This app had minor flaws even before the app went nuts. Those problems are not worth mentioning relative to the above problems. But the hassle and lack of care for their customers when major problems are occurring makes me caution everyone to beware using it at all at this point. Not worth the money or hassle. Avoid.

I really like this app until I discovered that it doesn’t link with any Fitness trackers. Not even my Apple Watch. If you’re entering their recipes, it makes food entry easier, but still sort of disjointed compared to regular fitness apps.I must say that their customer support is awesome! When I discovered it wouldn’t sync with my tracker, I asked to cancel, they said they could cancel my app, but the six month agreement I’d signed would not be refunded. I explained why it wasn’t working for me and they offered me a 50% refund. I mentioned that I teach Fitness and am looking for something for my clients to use and they gave me 100% refund, customer service, particularly Samantha, and Ami, were extremely helpful very proactive and responded almost immediately! Perhaps if they can grow this a little bit more and make it a little more user-friendly since we all wear fitness trackers now, it will be my go to in the future!
