Dirt Devil Clean APP is a robot sweeping control application, which can control your sweeping robot to clean anytime and anywhere; check various status and cleaning completion at any time.
Through the Dirt Devil Clean APP, you can easily unlock the following advanced functions:
[Room Cleaning] You can choose the designated room for cleaning. After selection, only the selected room will be cleaned and the cleaning will be performed in the order of selection.
[Zone cleaning] Select the area you want to clean on the map, and set the cleaning times to achieve key cleaning.
[No-go Zone] Set the forbidden area. After setting, the robot will not enter the forbidden area when cleaning.
[Scheduled cleaning] Schedule cleaning tasks, the robot will start cleaning tasks at the specified time.
[Partition editing] After the robot automatically partitions, edit the partitions manually, which can be merged, divided, and named.
It worked just as advertised for 3 weeks until one day it just didn’t recognize my vac on the network. I tried everything to reconnect it including removing the original and starting from the start. My network is 2.4 ghz. I can still have it auto clean but have lost all app control. As a result I use it way less because I can no longer create no-go-zones. I’ve emailed multiple times with no response. Please help!

Me and countless others have experienced the same ”bricking” of our otherwise fantastic vacuums. I was curious why the price was so low compared to the others and now I know it’s bc the software was not fully fleshed out. I purchased the EV3420 for 100$ at Walmart for reference. And fast forward about 6 months the app got disconnected from my net bc I changed the name(ssid) but then upon “starting network config” an infinite loop occurs when I try to select the 2.4ghz network. Goes like this Add Device > Select EV3420 > Follow Instruction per app stated > Start Config |> Select 2.4ghz network > Settings of App > turn everything on and available > go back to app > select network > Settings of App| and so on and so forth. Please fix this. Auto clean is my only option rn and it never is smart enough to find the home base without the cloud map.
Second time an update has made my vacuum worthless

This is the second time that an app update has completely bricked to the functionality of my robot vacuum. I don’t need this app to do everything. I just need it to control my vacuum. stop updating it with half baked updates. Whoever you pay to work on this app is actively making it worse for the people who use it. Figure it out. I need to vacuum my place soon, so hopefully you will fix it by the end of the week. Once you fix it, for the love of God, please stop updating this app.

When it works, it works well. However, whoever manages this app does not seem to test for anything before pushing to prod. The latest update has essentially bricked the vacuum as it forgets its mapping after about one minute and goes into standby mode. It's frustrating to have to nanny the robot so much. Hoping for more stable releases in the future...
