I’ve been playing for about a week and the game has been very enjoyable! The game looks great and runs quite smooth and I would highly recommend this game. With that being said, there is a couple things I think the game lacks. One is having a chat room in the game, id like to be able to maybe pick a server to chat on or chat among people in the same “location” as me. Not having a local chat room makes the game feel a little lonely at times even though it’s an MMO. They do have the option to direct message other players, there’s a link to discord and a “Tavern” which is kind of like a Reddit style chat area. I think it would be nice if they added a general chat in game somewhere.The only other thing that I find lacking is the UI navigation. I’m a new player so I’m sure a lot of it will get easier the more I play but it was pretty confusing for me at the beginning, for example, it shows your equipment on your character screen but you can’t equip / unequip something from this screen, you have to navigate to your inventory in the menus screen and equip from there.Overall I have enjoyed my time playing this game and I will definitely continue playing!

First, this game is super cool. I played it a lot around last year and when I stumbled on it again, I couldn’t remember why I deleted it. Until the one big annoyance came back and gave me that “oh yeah” moment. For some reason, when you leave the app going in the background for a few hours and come back to it, everything loads up fine, however every time I navigate to open my Inventory, the menu doesn’t load anything. It kind of just “black screens”. That’s not quite the word for it, but yeah nothing loads and I’m forced to force close the app and reopen. Which, hearing it like this doesn’t sound like a big deal, but after dedicating months to this and having to do this nearly every single time I open the app gets really irritating. It’s such a small thing, that builds up over time. And like I said, it’s been probably about a year since I’ve played it, and somehow this weird bug is still in the game. Take that as you will, because at the end of the day, it truly isn’t a huge deal. The game is still magnificent and intelligently made if you enjoy a classic mmo feel but as a compact and UI based idle version. It’s all pretty in depth, and not so surface level like most idle RPGs that are purely ‘number go up’. Skills tie into each other. You can plan out a weeks worth of goals that all lead to one goal. It’s free. Give it a try. It’s not like you’ll be actively wasting hours of your life since it’s an idle game after all.

IdleMMO is an easy game to pick up and have fun with whether you are looking to play it all day every day or casually. The game is well balanced in a way that is F2P friendly (I personally play F2P and am hardly at a disadvantage compared to paying players). The best part by far for me though is the engagement between the developers and the community. The developers make sure to engage and consider suggestions by the community to ensure the game is the best it can be. I would highly recommend giving the game a try!

Idle and MMO are two concepts that probably appeal to a lot of mmo gamers who… got busy with life.As such, I believe the two elements that would need attention to is… 1) polish the idling aspect. FIX YOUR EMPTY SCREEN FAILING TO RESUME BUG. This bug is 100% reproducible. Just background the game, go about your day for a few hours and try resuming the game. Black screen that will never load until you force quit the game. It makes the game feel highly amateurish… You do t have an idle game if you cant resume reliably. Workaround is NOT acceptable. Apparently, this issue had been around at least over a year… and upon checking the Discord channel, some players were already reporting it.2) Live chat feature for global channels. This is the MMO aspect that is missing to truly make this feel like an MMO. When you can SEE and communicate LIVE with other players, it creates that sense of…well… multiplayer presence. An asynchronous poster/forum thread system does not capture a lively feel of an MMO. Look at FarmRPG for inspiration in this regards.
