SunOnly 2.1 introduces many new features: • New detailed weather search (“Always perfect”, “Time-based rating”) • Worldwide POIs • New POI sources (roof-tent villages, Dachzeltfestival 2026) • More units • Higher-resolution weather maps • New map types • Improved navigation • Many additional improvements

In the detailed weather search, you can now choose whether only the regions on the map should be marked in green where all weather criteria are met throughout the entire selected period, or whether you want to see a temporal evaluation, where in dark green regions all weather criteria are always (100%) met, while in contrast in yellow, orange, or red regions all weather criteria are met less frequently or never. New for surfers, kitesurfers, sailors, etc.: In the detailed weather search you can now also search by wind direction. This helps, in combination with the search for wind strength and other criteria, to find the perfect spots for water sports.
 From this version, weather data is retrieved with an accuracy of 1 hour for the first 4 days (instead of 3 hours as before). From the 5th day, weather data is used that distinguishes between morning, noon, evening, and night. Many thanks to the subscribers of the "Pro Edition", who make this possible with their contribution! With a new button, you can now display weather details or details of a POI that you previously closed again. The weather criteria of the detailed weather search are now retained when you close and restart SunOnly. Normally, compared to version 2.0.2 and earlier, only 50% of the weather data is retrieved from the server. This reduces data usage (especially important with expensive mobile data packages) and loading times decrease. Some minor bug fixes.

Here, you can define rules yourself that your dream weather must meet. The map highlights exactly the regions in green where all conditions are fulfilled. All other regions are shown in grey. * SunOnly now includes global points of interest especially for campers, which are automatically shown on the map when you zoom in. These points are particularly interesting for “rooftop tent nomads”, vanlifers, long-distance hikers, etc., as they can display not only campgrounds, parking spots, and supply points, but also public toilets, showers, swimming pools, laundromats, and laundry services. * Weather information on the map is now in higher resolution. * The map view can now be switched between standard, satellite, and hybrid. Bugfix to prevent hangs during startup, when alternative server is down.

A bug in a third-party component is bypassed with a workaround. The bug causes a crash when selecting the “SunOnly Pro Edition” menu item. Now, the former own code is used as a quick temporary solution.
