Like others have said, the system used to input foods for the day needs improvement. There should be a way to correct barcode scans that were put in incorrectly, for the sake of overall improvement of the food library. The AI food scan is an interesting concept in theory—though not always accurate, I still try it first when eating something I don’t have the nutritional facts for and it is less intimidating than guessing from scratch. Last, the otter is…a little annoying to be honest. He is cute but so far I have yet to fully satisfy him. He always finds something to pick on, even if my whole day of eating is excellent. If I have him analyze just breakfast and he says it’s great, later when I have him analyze the whole day if the rest of the day is good, he’s circle back around into criticizing breakfast. I hold they fix this in the future…At first I was impressed by his ability to somewhat hold a conversation, but the longer I talk to him I realize he doesn’t really have access to any of the data in the app.
A big bug/issue

I got my first Apple Watch and this is the best app in terms of checking sleep and sports but there’s a big issue now. It doesn’t sync well with Apple Watch for sleep duration. The sleep duration on the Apple Watch OtterLife app basically shows the same time as the time on Apple health app(but always 2 mins shorter but acceptable) . However the sleep duration on the iPhone OtterLife app show much shorter time. So iPhone OtterLife app is not accurate because it doesn’t sync well with Apple health. This happened because I briefly woke up at 7 o’clock and then I went back to sleep at 7:15. But OtterLife app shows the woke up time. 7 o’clock soso he doesn’t sync the additional one hour sleep after 7:15. The reason this is a big issue is because incorrect sleep duration caused the incorrect average sleep time and total sleep time, etc. Please fix it. Thanks. And if possible add the total calories on the app.
Great potential, few minor issues

I really love the interface of the app, and the way data is presented is in a way that makes it interesting and easy to understand. However there are a few minor issues. For one, when importing food data from Apple Health, it shows incorrect macronutrient levels. I generally have above 100g of protein daily for example, but it only shows me having 3g. On the sleep data analysis tab, the graph considers my sleep duration to be in the low range which could make sense, but what it considers to be low is anywhere between 6.1 and 34.4 hours. When looking at the stress page, all the charts (including Today) have their labels “Yesterday Status.” Again, the app is entirely usable and helpful but there’s a few minor bugs that need to be worked out.
Good close to Great

I love everything about this app (especially the cute watch widget you can customize) but there’s certain features I wish were better. For starters I wish you could track your food in measurements other than grams especially when it comes to eating out (honestly MyFitnessPal probs has the best measuring system). I also wish it was easier to access that page or having a widget for it on the home page. Aside from that, I love how entertaining the app is and it’s great having an app that can track EVERYTHING even habits (but wish you could set up multiple reminders if you have multiple times you wis you do something)
This update:
- "Food Lock" feature launched! When recorded calories exceed the limit, the app will automatically lock to help you easily develop healthy eating habits!
- Fixed incorrect custom drink water content and specific weight data deletion issues
- Other various bug fixes
Recent major updates:
- 2025 Health Report is here! Test your body age now
- Added Drink-to-Raise-Fish widget! Track daily water intake funly—each drink helps grow your exclusive fish
- Added "Bedtime Reminder" and "Calorie Dashboard" Live Activities, clearly showing daily calorie trends and sleep countdown to help you visually track your goals~
