I cannot express how much I appreciate MiniReview. It is an easy, quick and user friendly way to learn more about games you might want to buy/play. The reviews are quick and easy to read/understand. The best feature is the “browse” function! I had no idea how many games I had been sleeping on. You can filter the browse function with so many different options, you can find exactly what you are looking for. You want a portrait, one-thumb, rogue-lite, pixel art style game? Well if it exists MiniReview has got your back!

It has always been my hope that they could help people find games that have gone under their radar (games that deserve much more exposure!). I absolutely love this app - it’s incredibly well designed and a perfect way to find the few good games on the App Store in the sea of F2P copy-paste garbage. My ONLY gripe is the seeming lack of a “back” button - if I set up some filters to search for a game and then click on a specific one to read the review, I can’t return to that particular search without re-entering the filters. It’s absolutely possible that I’m just missing it but if not, please add this and I’ll change to 5 stars immediately!

Thank you so much for the kind comment :) Oh yes, being able to go back is a must. You can swipe from the left edge of your screen to go back. This is a built-in Apple/iOS functionality so I figured it'd be a great start. But I'll definitely look into how to potentially add a button too. For now, I hope the swipe "back button" works for you? Right now, I'm working on support for "user collections", which I plan to launch in February.

Filling an important niche

I really love this app/site/community. iOS has so many wonderful games, so curation, reviews, and critical evaluation are especially helpful. These folks do that and their content+weekly roundups make gaming a much better experience for me. I haven’t really engaged with the community features (discord, writing my own reviews) - I’m just free riding - but I’m very grateful for what they’re doing. Oh, and the app itself is pretty great and functional. Love and courage!

I have followed the creators for some time and trust the time and effort they put into their reviews. The reviews on this app do not disappoint and some of the most accurate I have found anywhere. This is my go to place now when I feel like trying a new game or when I want to see something similar to one I like.
