I recently purchased the Nexar Beam 2 for my newly acquired Ford Lightning, and overall, I’m really impressed—especially with Nexar’s cloud recording feature. Being able to access my recordings from the cloud provides incredible peace of mind, something I’ve grown accustomed to after owning a Tesla.However, I encountered an issue with the OBD2 connection draining my 12V battery excessively. When I reached out to Nexar support, I was fortunate to work with Jerxis and Rache, who were both fantastic. Jerxis had excellent communication and follow-up, keeping me updated while Nexar’s engineers investigated the issue. They determined that some EVs experience problems using the OBD2 port and recommended switching to the cigarette lighter port instead. While this means I can’t use remote streaming when the vehicle is parked, the dash cam will still record incidents and upload them to the cloud.Rache went above and beyond by setting up a no-cost order for a wiring kit to make this transition seamless. The level of customer service I received from Nexar was top-notch, and I truly appreciate the team’s effort to find a solution. If you’re looking for a dash cam with reliable cloud recording and outstanding support, Nexar is a great choice!

This app has upgraded the features of my Nexar One and they’ve come a long way since the Classic version. The live view feature is great. The hardware helped speed up a collision claim when someone backed into me as the clip was captured by the high quality video. It’s easy to reach support if you need it. The reps Nikka and Likhon have been key players in helping me with questions and other needs to support my dashcam.Saving videos is easily done with the app. All in all, great to have the connected option as other vendors provide this but require a whole separate device or don’t have cellular data. Nexar does a solid job and I am happy to trust them for capturing my adventures on the road.

Read the review just before leaving mine. They will fight and prevent you from returning it even a minute passed their return period.I updated the app and never get a single alert despite some damage to my car (some from falling seeds from a very tall tree by my house and I hear when the seeds hit the hood or roof because it’s that loud!). I spent so much time, and without pay or an actual fix, of why my camera can’t keep or easily connect to live stream. It always takes at least 3 mins if it even connects. I feel like I should be refunded and paid for my time giving them all these readings. I got a ticket one time and by the time I got to my destination (20 mins away), there was no chance we could even recover the video. Every time it was powered on, it immediately was recording and there is 0 possibility of transferring video by usb cable! The actual transfers go extremely slow (slight improvement with new app). Overall, it’s just a huge headache, loss of evidence if even recorded and a major price scam to charge so much with then an arbitrary monthly subscription. For me, it’s just an accessory to deter since it’s constantly shutting down because of the “high” temperatures and my ac can’t even cool it down enough? Garbage if you ask me and legally my opinion would say false advertising.

Absolute garbage since purchase

I have had several dash cams over the years. This Nexar One with all attachments has been a nightmare. From a delayed launch to app issues. To streaming issues, I’ve never had it working properly for more than two days in almost two years of ownership. I’m now sitting in my car for the last 3 hours trying to download a video from the camera and it just fails over and over again. It’ll get 95% and then the light on the cam turns red. What good is a cam that works only when it wants to and has no ability to download videos via a wired connection when the WiFi and Bluetooth doesn’t work. I wanted to love this thing and it’s been nothing but trouble. At one point I sent in my camera for replacement with original box and they sent me back a used camera with a beat up box. So disappointed. I feel taken. Chat support is nice, but usually unhelpful asking to perform typical troubleshooting steps that don’t work.
