I’ve been using PopBookings for the past 4 years and it has made me so much extra income. I’ve worked some of the best events and made so much money off it. Although it tough to find the agencies that use it, it does have a lot of public (recruit) jobs you can find that will get you started to build a connection with. I highly recommend you complete your profile with basic headshots and build from there, and which each event you book, take photos and help create the ideal photo portfolio so other agencies can see your experience. I invested in buying my own pop up backdrop and use my iPhone to take different headshots. I suggest keeping fresh eye catching headshots in portrait mode on your iPhone. Whether you’re looking to make some extra money on the side or to build your BA or PA resume, PopBookings is the place to start. I started after recovering from a major surgery to get back to work after corporate America told me after being out of my field for more than a year I no longer had the experience needed to find a full time job. I checked the app daily and slowly but surely found gigs, and and now 4 years later I have so much experience and gigs. Be sure to always have your booking agent leave you a review, this helps your rating. Good luck and go get em! You can do it, just like I did!

Lynne experience and most post are known scams, not like you think but just to show how good they are at booking we use the app for postings and leads to promote.. Fake data for cash” The recruiters are encouraged not to hire people on pop bookings because they make more money to book otherwise. It’s cheaper for them that way. They only use pop booking as a marketing strategy. They tell you to never hire or call any BA’s or models from the app unless it’s from there own website lead. Lynn experience website says what they want to book on the cheap. They have their own website. It’s their way to set people up for cheaper labor so they can cash in. It cost them more money to pay an employee registered on the app than for their own jobs on their app for less than 40 percent. Many employees / job recruiters were fired for recruiting on this app unless it was from their own website. In the Lynn experience company the hiring process clearly stated to never hire anyone from any app for cause of immediate termination. We were told unless you book from their own website you will be fired. Agents were only permitted to book from the Lynn company website or you were fired. These jobs posting pretend to recruit only for marketing. Look at the response rate it’s a scam sadly pop bookings is their platform. The cost to recruit from this app is not worth it for most agencies. In fact recruiters, are steered away from hiring anyone unless it’s last minute. It cost the company’s too much money to hire directly on pop booking which is why and they only schedule people from their own site. They play a game with pop bookings only to use them for profit then not pay their staff. I would hope to say no to this app they don’t look out for their talent. I worked for there hiring team and I was told never consider hiring an employee on this app because it cost them more money then on there website. Also threatened to be fired If booked anyone from the pop bookings directly. I was instructed to only hire from the outside in, to save the company money for booking fees. Maybe it’s not the app but I’m still waiting on a check when I was ignored from Lynn experience from 2018. Also multiple employees filing grievances from the years past. In part is that there are many other choices to make that aren’t scamming.

The app is great for finding work and booking it quickly even if it seems like there aren’t that many agencies hiring on this platform, I’m able to find work quickly and getting set up with a profile on this platform was incredibly easy so I do appreciate that! That being said, there’s still much more room for improvement. Number 1 being the communications via the app. The user interface should be more user friendly and intuitive to navigate as to make it easy to facilitate reliable instant communication between agencies and talent. They’re should be an onboarding process by whatever agency hires you for the first time any agency hires you. They’re should be a space where required appliances or supplies for gigs should be highlighted in job postings. The way this app is organized at this time is just adding to the chaos and disorganization that many agencies already demonstrate in their booking/hiring process, so it would be better if the app supported more features and design changes that reflects a much more concise and organized approach for facilitating these bookings. For a specific example. I attempt to add confirmed bookings to my calendar and it doesn’t get added correctly. All the information gets jumbled up, scrambled. I’m not able to make use of that feature but would love it if I could actually use it. It should take the information from the booking and properly place them in the appropriate fields(address, detailed instructions for the event and scheduled time for the event) when creating a calendar event in-app.

This app can put potentially put you in unsafe/unfair situations with sketchy gigs. I accepted a job clearly labeled as being “fast pay” which meant funds should be held in escrow by the app and then paid out automatically two days after the event is completed. Turns out, the event was deceptively mislabeled and I would have to invoice the company (on net 30 terms) to get paid on my own. I emailed support and eventually got a canned apology but they never addressed how the gig was blatantly and deceptively mislabeled and took no responsibility. I tried to give them another chance a while later only to have the client cancel on me THE DAY OF THE EVENT and I was given no compensation. Their support system only stipulates punishment for talent who cancels, with no recourse for bad clients. I had turned down other gigs for that job and was left with zero pay and the bad clients trying to harass me to not share my experience, texting my personal cell number. Popbookings has no support number and email replies are sluggish and scripted. This company needs to do more to protect its hardworking talent. I will not waste my time trying to work on this app again.
