i got this game probably around a year ago for the first time when the layout was different. i liked the fact that it was like a mix between a personality app and a roleplaying game! i like the updates they’ve made to the game a lot, like how you used to only have a few responses to pick from to respond to characters when playing stories, and now it uses AI so you can respond however you would actually respond, and have a more realistic interaction which is really cool. i love how they incorporated that into dr reid too!! my only complaint with the new version is the need for energy to play the stories; i understand this might be because it still has a lot of features that the devs are working on, so they may not want people running through most of the stories they have created in the course of a day. but i did like it a lot better when you could go from story to story as you wanted, so if you wanted to play for awhile and do 10 in one sitting you could, or if you did just 2, that was fine too. i hope that part changes back in the future, but this far i love the new changes! this is a cool game concept and i like what the devs have going here.

As the title suggests, the game isn’t half bad considering I came in with rather low expectations given I’ve been on a “download and delete” spree. Some of the things the “therapist” pointed out proved to be rather insightful, picking up patterns in myself I haven’t even noticed and at the same time validating feelings I got while recommending me things to try out. That’s probably my favorite aspect of the game. The events/scenarios are short scenarios where you’re placed with a character and assigned a goal to complete within 5 turns. Since it’s pretty randomized, some of the goals will feel out of place with the setting and or conversation (the character starts talking first so you have to continue off that). You can get up to 24 energy a day by watching ads and each event costs about 5 energy to do, so an average of 5 events a day assuming you don’t talk to the therapist. Plenty if you just want to sink 1-2 hours a day. What rubs me wrong though is the fact that if you do want more energy, you’d be given a prompt to join their discord and from there you are given an offer to review the game for 5 stars in order to get 30 free energy. I won’t say anything more on that, just a heads up to others considering downloading the game: take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. I don’t doubt there are people who genuinely thinks this game is worth the full mark but given the fact that there were at least a couple hundred threads in their “reviews for energy” channel, there’s probably a good chunk of 5 star reviews that are skewed.

I originally got this game a while ago, it looked interesting enough and I thought, “why not?” But I didn’t have the storage to fully download it. Now, after who knows how long, I redownload it since I got more storage. I hadn’t realized when I first got it that it used AI to communicate with you, and seeing it used and played in a game is literally so cool! It feels so personal and especially with the therapist, it feels like he truly knows just what to say- While I thought that I was over certain habits, it helped me understand what I needed to continue to work on without making me feel dumb. (Plus the cats a cute bonus)- The characters feel so fleshed out too, and it’s really interesting to see them communicate with each other on the social media in the game. It’s also really cool to see them specifically mention the things I’ve said to them as well. As well as the little tidbits after each conversation that they determined your personality off of are pretty cool too. I practically couldn’t stop playing- I just worry I’ll feel impatient waiting for the energy to renew lol

I used to play Episode like every day, and I feel like this game is bringing back that feeling for me. It’s so cute and all the stories are well thought out with personal results at the end of each. It is sad that you can’t replay them if you get a bad ending, but I understand since it’s supposed to be for finding out your personality. I love playing this game and hope new stories come out soon!Review for new update:I love the storytelling and plot aspect of it now, it’s so cool that the characters can remember what happened from previous stories and that you provide free responses instead of multiple choice answers! I didn’t get the goals feature at first, but now I think I’m getting the hang of it. Every character has a different personality and backstory that affects the situations you’re in. Also, there’s a character named Dr. Reid that analyzes your choices and talks through them with you, giving some insight on them. There are a few bugs, but that is to be expected with such a small development team. I can’t wait to see where this game goes!
