Word games for awesome people.
Lex.Games offers a slew of daily word games to enjoy: Conlextions, Lexicogs, Cryptograms, Write & Rung, Mini and Full-Size Crosswords, By A Vowel, Six Appeal, Letter Opener, and Mind Control.
Conlextions is a custom spin on the increasingly popular Connections puzzle format: You see a grid of sixteen terms, and need to identify four sets of four groups — watching out for words that might fall into more than one category!
Lexicogs offers crossword-style clues, and you assemble the answers from the "cogs" of words below. Solve all seven clues as fast as you can.
By A Vowel is a word jumble game: Five themed words, each missing one of the five vowels. Crack the theme to help improve your solve time.
Six Appeal is like Wordle meets Mastermind: You're solving a six-letter word, but your guesses don't all need to be real words — though they're worth more points if they are.
Cryptograms are letter cypher puzzles. Write & Rung is a word ladder building game.
Letter Opener gives you 90 seconds to form as many words as you can using the starting letters provided. Can you top the leaderboard?
The daily Mini is a crossword puzzle — only smaller. How fast can you solve the clues?
The full-size Crossword is — of course! — a full-size crossword. Woohoo!
Mind Control is a modern take on Mastermind — figure out the right order for the colorful pegs, using logic to determine the solution.
New puzzles each day, with individual leaderboards per game, along with a Lex.Games-wide leaderboard, too. Hear a fun jingle when you solve a puzzle. Enjoy the mellow background music, or disable all the sounds entirely.
Share your scores with friends, keep your mind busy, and satisfy your competitive streak! Word up. You can even add friends within the app to compare just your scores with each other, instead of seeing the whole leaderboard.
Don't like timers and scores? Enable Zen Mode so that you're playing just for the fun of it, without the competitive stuff.

Have been playing the games daily on the web, and now I get to do it in a nicely designed, well built app. My partner and I have made these games a part of our daily ritual, right next to Wordle and the Crossword. The monthly sub is well worth it, too!
Sub is well worth it

Great selection of games, fun to play, idiosyncratic and challenging. The only problem is the fantastically buggy crossword — it draws poorly on my (small, I know) SE, the completion checkmarks don’t line up with completed crosswords reliably (only game that has that issue), a couple days ago it just wasn’t there, and today I had it right, but it claimed I was wrong. I revealed the words that were marked wrong and it wrote exactly what I had, but in lower case. 🤦♂️
A fun, lightweight game app? In this economy?

I was a beta tester for Lex Games, and I enjoyed witnessing the rapid maturation into the app that is now before you, the person browsing the App Store. It is full of challenging daily games and delightful personal touches. Run, don't walk, to get your copy of Lex Games today!

Lex games is an important part of a balanced breakfast. Coffee and puzzles, what else could you need? Sometimes the puzzles are really hard, sometimes they are easy and sometimes they are funny!
Perhaps you love Cryptograms. Perhaps you want to play the Lex.Games Cryptograms archive. And perhaps you were stymied by the fact that the Cryptograms archives were oddly truncated. Now, mercifully, the archives screen shows ALL the old Cryptograms. That's better.
