I gave this app 5 stars so everyone could see. Just before they took $99 away from my account, I tried looking EVERYWHERE to find a button that would cancel the subscription, only to see that I had to email them. I emailed, and left a voicemail when they wouldn’t respond. Mind you, I emailed them 3 months ago and still have not received any response via email nor call. To prevent this from happening again the next year, I had to get an entirely new card because the bank couldn’t block them. These people are money hungry, and the app is useless. They’ve deleted my review multiple times now.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, though it sounds like there may be a significant misunderstanding. At Death Clock, we take customer support very seriously and maintain an average email response time of 2–3 hours.Notably, we do not operate a phone line, so it is possible you were interacting with one of the copycat sites (such as the now-defunct mydeathclock.ai) that have recently targeted our users. We also do not have the ability to delete App Store reviews. We want to make sure this is resolved for you. Please email me directly at brent@deathclock.co. As the Founder and CEO, I will personally investigate your account history and ensure that if there was an error on our end, it is corrected immediately.

So I thought this might be interesting to look at from an AI perspective and give them any kind of support and endorsement received. I found it very frustrating to use because I’m a terminal cancer survivor been exposed to nine major chemotherapy and I’ve had a stem cell transplant I know what the actuarial tables are on my expected survivability after my treatment. And it’s not gonna be when I’m 95 I’m 52 if I make 65 I will count myself blessed. I tried as it requested such as my cancer… There are eight types of leukemia. It only acknowledges too. Mine‘s not even in the system. Half of the medications that I take are not in the system. When it asks about family history on my mother side we have the black Jeanne for breast cancer… It doesn’t give me an opportunity to share the relationship to the individual who had that cancer it doesn’t give me the option to share about my mother’s hyperplasia, Alzheimer’s disease, para supra nuclear palsy… It wants me to upload my private HIPAA information about my cancer, treatment plan and long-term survivability planning which I am not about to do in an app when companies embed clauses in their terms of service that allow them to sell your data. I’m not releasing that. So I do not accept that. This app works the way it claims it does. It’s cute little illustrations are fun, but I can assure you I’m not gonna be sitting around on New Year’s Eve 2071 picking my nose and Keeling over in front of the television. This is significantly disappointing.

Was not working for me, but then…..

The app was super glitchy and wouldn't let me advance to the next question. The layout was awful as you could not read the entire question it is asking in order to evaluate your life for your profile. I tried over and over but when I get to the one question which appears to be about your grandparent’s longevity, it would show the entire question and wouldn’t move off the page. The developer told me how to fix the issue and BOOM! It worked! Thank you!! One suggestion: include a warning at the beginning to change your settings if you have that issue.
Developer Response
Hi Kswjosh. It sounds like you may have text zooming enabled on your phone. We are still in beta and we do not yet have support for this. If you would like to try again with text zooming disabled, you should have better luck. Sorry for the inconvenience!
super cool

I have a fair bit of health anxiety and guilt about lifestyle factors within my control (I drink and smoke and I mostly hate vegetables! sorry!) so I tried this out as a way of scaring myself into being healthier. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to learn my est death age is around 85 and I’m not even sure I’d really want to live much longer than that lol. but it has really helped to quell that anxiety! and I also love that the app is cleanly organized with data and actions to optimize your health. I also think the price is good for what you get- I signed up for free trial and will most likely keep the subscription.

Brent, the founder of Death Clock here! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review!I'm really glad to hear the app helped ease some of your health anxiety. One of our goals is to give people realistic, science-based insights that empower them to make positive changes, not create more fear. And don't worry, you're definitely not the only person who's admitted to having a complicated relationship with vegetables. Small, consistent improvements can make a meaningful difference over time.I'm also happy to hear you're finding the data, recommendations, and organization helpful, and that you feel the subscription provides good value. Feedback like yours means a lot and helps motivate our team to keep improving the app. Thanks again for your support, and welcome to the Death Clock community!
