Excellent start!!

As a Raycast user on macOS, I was eager to see its transition to iOS. The app brings over essential features like AI Chat, Notes, Quicklinks, and Snippets, all of which sync across devices—a boon for enhancing productivity on the go. The integration of multiple AI models and the ability to capture ideas swiftly is excellent. Plus, with Whisper voice integration, it already understands almost at the level of ChatGPT (Siri, are you listening!!?), which is pretty amazing.However, I noticed that some functionalities are still limited. Given the platform’s constraints (sigh), this is understandable, but I hope to see features expanded in future updates. I would love for this app to essentially take the place of Finder in iOS, which I use just like a launcher, adding AI and other more in-depth integration like Raycast does with the Mac. For example, as a bridge until more shortcuts can be created directly in Raycast, the ability to trigger iOS shortcuts directly from the Raycast bar would be very useful. Plus, I heard that they are working on a keyboard as part of this. If this is as good as Raycast for Mac OS, sign me up!

This is a great companion to the desktop app. Being able to quickly jot down notes and have that serve as a knowledge base is super valuable! I use the weekly note feature to capture thoughts throughout the week and then summarize and formally store in Apple Notes.The AI chat features are great and the UX is very close to GPT. One small improvement, it would be great if we could zoom in or change the orientation of generated images without saving them. See how GPT does it for reference.Overall, $16/mo to have access to every model while also being able to use them with your extensions is a great value!

I’ve used Raycast on my Macs for years. It’s rare that I write a review for something, but it’s one of the few apps that’s hard for me to live without because of the time it saves me and the ability to control my computer from a Spotlight search bar. I’ve been waiting for the iOS version for ages, and the fact that it skipped beta (that I’m aware of) is amazing. Because of iOS limitations, there’s obviously some things the mobile version can’t do, but I’m impressed with the UI nonetheless. It’s frictionless to ask AI a question, and the voice to text is remarkably accurate. With Pro, a lot of your settings and notes sync over as well. A few things I’d like to request in the future: - Mobile web page extension so I can ask it to summarize web pages like I can on Mac- Ability to create custom commands from mobile (I may have missed this in the settings)- Extensions store for mobile, even if there are limitations

TL;DR this is just a low-quality AI chat app from the same company as Raycast desktop, and lives up to nothing that made Raycast greatWhen I heard Raycast was coming to iOS, I was excited that it might become the ultimate Action Button launcher app and really bring what makes Raycast on desktop great in a mobile form. There are so many great things about the desktop Raycast, and AI tools are a very small part of that. It’s disappointing that this app gets the name of such an incredible tool when it’s only a shell of it.I’d love to see tools like the amazing calculator, dictionary, or shortcuts. Instead, this app has unpolished chat features (math symbols and files aren’t supported, “Ask Webpage” just goes and searches the web without even using the page you provide, and I could go on). This is just a worse AI chat app than any of the other ones on the App Store, and barely related to the amazing app that is its namesake.I’d love for this app to improve into what it could have been or into a better version of what it is currently. But for now, it’s an unpolished companion app for Raycast Pro users that brings almost nothing good to iOS.
