The lorex connect app is horrible. I can’t even play back recorded videos on my iPhone because the app / video freezes. After spending so much money on the new lorex equipment, this is completely unacceptable. I’ve also read the reviews, and many others customers are complaining about App problems. What makes it worse is that the developer responds seems to the same generic message every time” sorry for the inconvenience, please contact customer service” that doesn’t fix anything.Lorex needs to stop giving customers copy and paste responses and actually fix the app. Hire better developers, release a stable update.

After being contacted and giving this more thought, I would like to clarify part of my original review.When I first purchased this camera, I did not understand that this specific model does not offer a subscription option for recording and instead requires a SIM card for certain features. I learned that after returning it. That detail was not clear to me at the time of purchase, and I sincerely apologize for my earlier comment regarding the subscription. That said, the camera still did not meet my particular needs. While it provides a live feed, I personally needed consistent event recording with reliable playback access. In my experience, even when pressing “record,” there was nothing available for playback afterward.

This new app is slow and terrible. My devices on Lorex Classic are quick and never have any issues. The two new cameras I got that make me use this app for them are extremely slow (if they ever even do connect) and terrible. Please go back to using Lorex Classic.

This is the worst app for security system. It doesn’t show you motion. It shows you about five minutes later it’s hard to login. You can’t really control anything on the app. You have to go on your NVR. All around a terrible app.
