I don’t know what would make them go in and change settings but we had changes in waivers and Flex player requirements. They were aware of the waiver issue but are still playing dumb as for as the Flex player change. For the Flex player issue, we use to only allow a Max of 4 RBs and 4 WRs. 2 could start in each position along with 1 Flex RB/WR. The max for the Flex didn’t matter from what I can remember. If you had more than 4 RBs or WRs, you got a big red alert on your roster page saying your lineup was illegal, and you also would not be able to accrue points for the week. We have had a few owners over the years have this happen to them, so it legit worked. For 5 years this is how it was set up. But at some point they changed the Flex position to count as another actual player. So now, even though we still have our settings a 4 Max RBs and 4 Max WRs, someone on our league had 6 WRs and was allowed to play and accrue points. We noticed this by accident. After digging into it, we realized that they were allowed to have 6 WRs because CBS was now counting the Flex player as an actual position. So the team had 4 WRs but then the other 2 were being counted as a RB/WR player (even though the players were technically WRs). In Settings, we had the Flex set as allowing 8 Max players (the 4 Max WRs and 4 Max RBs equaled 8 total Flex available players, so 8 Mac Flex worked). But now CBS has somehow started to consider the Flex position an actual player. So the 8 Max Flex players count separately and so anyone on our team could technically have a total of 12 Max WRs or RBs!!! Ridiculous. The CBS tech guy said they haven’t made any changes and basically said I must be mistaken. So now we have to figure out how to fix this.
Draft debacles again

I love the CBS analysts and have enjoyed the platform for like, 18-19 years now? But the amount of technical issues we have experienced - especially during drafts is out of hand. Crashes, jumbled picks, ridiculous auto-drafts etc. And we pay good money for this while most sites are free and from my experience seem to run fine. Out of the 6 seasons as commissioner with this particular league - 4 have had issues - some major. I have submitted IT tickets and received help - and apologies and even refunds, so that’s good. One year the whole site crashed and we had to reschedule the entire draft along with who knows how many other leagues. It’s pretty embarrassing when I pound the table for CBS as a commissioner and time and time again things break at the worst times. I take heat and feel personally responsible. The rest of my league members want out - not sure I can hold them off any longer and not go to Yahoo where my other leagues are - or Sleeper….bummer! Jamey, Dave, Heath & Adam are great - but their support system isn’t. You would think with a big name like CBS Sports stuff would work? 2 stars are for the analysts, lists and in-game platform. The 3 missing stars for the rest. Please make some capital investments in server and software upgrades - this is surely my last chance to keep our league here.
OK at best

Where do I start? The CBS sports fantasy app is very frustrating for leagues that aren’t cookie-cutter. The worst thing is that you can not pick up a free agent and move a player to the IL or Minors. Instead, it can only be done with a computer or, most often, your phone’s browser. Another thing is that the trade screen is not helpful in that you can only view own/ start % and salary- cool story bro, might be better if you could view stats and rankings to compare players. Also, my league utilizes OPS instead of AVG or OBP. OPS is not listed on a player page, free agent list or anything except the live scoring tracker. The only way to view it is on the player page- view stats and you add up OBP + SLG to get an idea. Less than ideal huh? Displaying your league’s stats shouldn’t be a lot to ask. It would also be helpful to know how many Innings Pitched you’re on pace for as many owners become mindful of the league’s IP minimum. I generally like the layout and format of the app, but the negatives are enough that we’re considering alternatives for 2020.
This app blows

This app is so horrible I had to somehow figure out how to get the full site so I could get accurate scores/updates. The app would consistently give me illegal lineup messages when it was never illegal. Take points away when I set my lineup for the next day, the analysis of players always have statistic and grammar mistakes like they have a intern running it. Been using cbs for 14 years and it was so much better then, than it is now. The app will give you very little info, won’t even show you what that player has gotten on a weekly basis without you having to navigate and click 200 different links to search it when you immediately get it at the full site. I don’t see why it’s so complicated to have the same or roughly the same user interface than what you would get with the full site. It’s completely night and day if you were to compare the two. On top of that their mobile site is so difficult to find the full site (cause it’s trash too) it takes a blood sacrifice and my first borns social security number in order to find it. They have never heard the saying “if it’s not broke don’t fix it” because they constantly want to tinker with things and I can’t think of one thing they’ve done to better their service in 5-10 years. Whoever you have in charge of all this obviously has no idea what they’re doing. Just like I wouldn’t want a fry cook doing my open heart surgery.
