A Clever Twist to Weather Apps
StormieWx
I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I saw this app, but when I downloaded it and started playing the weather games, I couldn’t stop myself from collecting Forecast Coins! I want to see more game types, but I’m glad they finally offered a 30 day free trial to see all the features they offer. Cool wx app concept!
Fun concept but room to grow
Hairy Silverback
I’m happy this app finally has been released. I was a part of the beta testing a little over a year ago and I had a great time testing it out. Back then the observed values after a contest were pretty accurate when comparing daytime temperatures, humidity, and wind. But now the observed values are way off. Yesterday it was in the 60s and the app said it was 44. It got pretty windy too, above 15 like the app was saying. Definitely has room for improvement.
Developer Response
Hey Hairy Silverback,First off, thanks for being part of the beta team, early adopter and sticking with us through all these years—means a ton! 🙌 And, we’re glad you had a great time testing early on.We hear you on the recent contest data issues. The observed values might have shift some due to our partnership with Tempest, but we are convinced that their values should still be pretty accurate. It sounds like something may have gone sideways on our end. A 44° reading when it felt like the 60s? Yeah, that’s not okay and we will continue to monitor this. We’re already looking into recent discrepancies in temperature and wind reporting. If you ever notice specific contests that seem off, feel free to send them our way—we're happy to dig into them.Appreciate you calling it out—feedback like yours helps us get better. Improvements are on the way!—The Weather Champs Team ☀️💨🌦️
