Times have changed , we are more influenced by social media than any magazine. I can’t remember the last time I bought a magazine , I used to have multiple subscriptions. Those days are gone. In this movie we visit old friends who’ve aged beautifully, the thing that makes this movie good is that no matter what pithy quip comes out of their mouth , the four main characters, Miranda, Andy , Nigel , and Emily , really see each other and they really love what they see. The four main characters are truly talented , in a way that AI could and will never be. That is the sad underlying story here. With all the talent in the world , all the heart , all the insight into what we as humans might need or want next , can we not succumb to AI? Or will tasteless narcissists take over ? Let the Hunger Games begin , that’s another story . But is it ?The Devil Wears Prada 2 gives us a thread of hope . Which I’ll happily take . Pat Fields styling is missed a bit , her protégé Molly Rogers gives us couture , but there are a few misses most notably a Dries Van Noten tassel jacket on Miranda . And there is discussion about Andy’s cerulean sweater vest in the closing scene , (which I loved as much as if my favorite puppy had come back to life . ) In the end it’s giving simply “Don’t give up humankind will find a way “5 stars

I downloaded the Rotten Tomatoes app hoping for a simple way to quickly check reviews, but the experience has been frustrating. The app is very difficult to navigate. There’s so much happening on the screen that it becomes hard to focus on the main purpose of the app, which should be finding reviews for movies and shows. Instead of a clean, intuitive layout, it feels cluttered and confusing.Another major issue is the number of pop-up ads. Many of them appear immediately when you open the app and some are very suggestive in nature. At first they seem like clickbait or curiosity-based content, but once you open them you realize they’re just trying to sell something. These types of ads feel unnecessary and inappropriate for a movie review app. They interrupt the experience and make the platform feel less trustworthy. What’s even more surprising is that many times the app doesn’t even have useful information or reviews for certain movies, even fairly recent ones. For a platform that is supposed to specialize in movie reviews, it’s disappointing when you search for a contemporary film and find little or no helpful content.Overall, the app feels cluttered, ad-heavy, and not very intuitive to use. A movie review app should make it easy to quickly search for a film and see ratings and opinions. Unfortunately, this app makes that process harder than it needs to be

In the past I loved using rotten tomatoes to get information on which movies to see in theaters, compare ratings or get a picture of what it was I was about to see. However since rotten tomatoes changed their mobile website to simply display an add for their unnecessary app with no way of using the website it’s self I find myself struggling to not resent the decision and the developers, moving away from rotten tomatoes out of spite. Having come up against this unnecessary inconvenience several times which was always frustrating and usually ruined my rotten tomatoes experience, I decided to download the app that Rotton Tomatoes was forcing me to get to simply view what’s on their web page. I downloaded the app, tried to connect my Google acct several times which didn’t work, and finally created an account just so I could see if Blonde had a good critic review score. That should have take 15 stress free seconds instead of two minutes hating every second of it. Complete waste of phone space and time on this precious earth forced by developers pushing an unnecessary app for what is simply an informative website. If we needed every website to be its own app experience, then why does my phone have Chrome?
I applaud the effort, but it’s not quite there yet.

I’ve been hoping for a dedicated Rotten Tomatoes app for years. Something distinctly separate from Flixster. So I was very glad when this app officially launched loud and proud. That said this app needs some work. Right now the app feels like it’s caught in between being a movie news hub, with articles and videos and trailers, and a place to write reviews. Right now the balance is off and it’s not working. One thing that was odd, a couple of my reviews were restricted and not able to be posted because they violated the community guidelines. But the reviews and question had neither harsh language or explicit language at all, this was truly puzzling. The app heals, rigid and limiting. This should be a competitor for Letterboxd and even IMDb, but that’s not the case. The profiles are extremely limited, there should be options for bio and profile pictures even links. There’s a real opportunity here to be robust and it’s not there yet. I appreciate the effort and this launch, but at this point, I’m forcing myself to engage with the app simultaneously posting a review and letterboxd copy and paste and then posting it here I’m not drawn to this yet. I want this app to succeed. I hope the developers take some time, take another swing at this app and make it even better.
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
