I accidentally forgot to transcribe a Zoom recording, so I was planning on listening and manually typing it up. Thankfully I found this app to transcribe for me! Very accurate and a huge time saver.

Offers a Free Transcription for a Review

I have not actually gotten to see the results of my first attempted transcription yet. This app bribes you to write a review by offering you a free transcription if you do so (I’m NOT a fan of that - it feels slimy). Also doesn’t make sense to have to write the review before you get to see a single result. You can download the app for free, but it looks like to actually use it, you need to purchase at least the lowest subscription tier. If there’s something else that’s truly free out there, I’d definitely go that route instead.

It’s not a bad app but it has one major flaw

It’s a really good app for school lectures I would definitely suggest to getting a different one tho that lets you get an account so you don’t have to pay for a different subscription for every electronic you have it on tho but other then it works great Tell him to come with you.

Two upgrades in 2.1.2:
— Note history. Edited something you didn't mean to? One tap brings the previous version back. Every revision is saved locally — no cloud, no lost work.
— Right after a transcription the Summary tab and AI hint pop up on their own. The gist is on screen before you start hunting for it.
iOS tip: Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap → Whynote. A quick double-tap on the back of your iPhone opens the app — handy when the meeting kicks off and your phone's still in your pocket.
Also: Whynote runs on Mac too. Grab it at whynote.ai.
