The good news is that when it works, Pika performs very well. Unfortunately, that’s rare.As others have mentioned, the AI is programmed to block certain language as “severe policy violations.” The app doesn’t provide feedback to tell you what triggered the violation, so you have to try again and wait a minute to see if you got it right. Often prompts that worked previously will be blocked the next time you try to use them. Also, you can’t iterate to improve your video. You have a limit to how many videos you can create a day, and if it doesn’t come out the way you like, tough luck.I wouldn’t recommend the app in its present form.***UPDATE***If prompting becomes an issue, is it did with Veo, try a different model. That usually clears things up. The clips might take longer to generate, but are often better quality due to improved prompt flexibility. Was able to resolve my issue with a prompt response from the developer.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We understand your frustration. We use some of the best AI models available, and when a prompt works as intended, the results can be very strong—as you’ve noticed. However, AI content generation depends heavily on prompt wording. Even small changes in phrasing can trigger safety filters, which are required to keep the platform compliant and safe for all users. At the moment, certain policy checks are handled automatically by the model itself, which is why specific trigger details aren’t always shown. We’re actively working on improving feedback and transparency around this.Regarding limits: daily generation caps exist due to the high infrastructure and compute costs involved in AI video generation. These limits help us maintain performance and quality for millions of users worldwide. Many users are successfully creating content every day and are satisfied with the results. If you face repeated issues or believe something isn’t working as expected, we strongly recommend contacting our support team, who are always happy to help and investigate specific cases. We truly appreciate constructive feedback—it helps us improve the app further.
