this app is great for people to learn how to crochet which I am doing. I’m I know a few basic things, but I still need help learning to do things I came to this app for help and when I came on it I couldn’t like watch any of the videos that should be there when you try to crochet something also things are limited and I only had one use for something and I forgot to specify like it was the whatchamacallit. I don’t remember what it was called the AI generated photo of like a stitch that you want to do and I forgot to specify how big it needs to be and how I would like it and what hook I need to use for it and I tried to do it again and I need to pay for premium to do it again which I am not doing because I’m gonna forget that I’m paying for it and then I’m going to lose my mind because I’m losing money on something. I probably won’t even use the near future. I might use it in the near future, but I need to learn how to make this now because I really want it and since summer is coming up, I’m going to need it if you’re wondering what it is. It is a kind of cover-up, but like there’s some holes in it that make it kind of patchy and it was going to be really cute, but I can no longer make it because if I cannot find anything that’s going to allow me to make it so this app gets a three out of 10. It’s great, but I don’t know if it’s just a glitch for my thing.

Projects beyond the first few tutorials have no pictures or detailed enough instructions

I don’t understand this app. The first few lessons had very detailed explanations and videos and it was amazing. But once you’re past the tutorials and just go search for “inspiration,” none of those projects have videos or even pictures. What’s worse, they don’t tell you when to set aside once piece and start working another one separately. I spent 2 hours crocheting what I thought was the head and body of a bunny only to end up with a giant cone because the instructions did not specify to separate them- the way it was worded also seemed like it needed to work off the last row on the head, so I still don’t know how to make this. Every instruction in those projects is SO confusing with no video or photo or even accurate instructions. Then it told me the project was completed without telling me to or showing me how to attach the pieces. I have now spent two whole days beating myself up feeling stupid for not figuring out this crochet but the more I practice the more I see these patterns and instructions are just not beginner friendly at all. I was so excited about this and now I’m so frustrated.

YarnPal has some really pretty patterns available for free once you subscribe. However, being very careful when following their directions. They are not always accurate. For example, I’m one of their coaster patterns. There were no connecting or turning instructions between rows. They also said to repeat a specific set of stitches six times to complete the rows. However, the picture clearly shows that it should only be repeated five times. I did email support and hopefully they fix it. But if I continue to see this happening in other patterns, I will definitely cancel my subscription. It’s a waste of time to follow a pattern for an hour only to find out there are mistakes in the instructions. Then your project does not come out correctly. I have been crocheting and teaching crochet for 30 years. I can recognize pattern inaccuracies. It really makes me sad because the projects are so cute. Where are the pattern testers?
