Like others have said, the functionality of the app is not great. I wish they would reduce the number of pop ups you get when you tap on certain categories, and just integrate the pop up’s information into the app itself. Also, I’m unable to check in with the app, because it says the “Barcode value is empty”, so I’m always having to use my card, which is fine, but it would be nice to be able to use the app as well.

I’ve run into a lot of display/selection issues in this app - from a feedback form that I can’t use because the location field is required and options don’t display on my device to schedule display issues with multiple scroll bars and a schedule selection field that won’t display. A great UI improvement I’d love to see is the option for users to select desired schedules at their y to “stick” and display with 1-2 clicks instead of routing through the websites schedule options (that display poorly on my phone in the app). My Y recently stopped publishing the PDF of its pool schedule (which could simply refresh each week in my browser). It now takes about five clicks and an unfriendly interface to look for the lap swim schedule each day I search. Within the app, I also can’t toggle between the schedule page options due to display issues on my device (eg indoor vs outdoor pool schedule). Please build on the “my Y” designation to enhance what pulls into a user’s view based on their interests and reduce how many clicks it takes to check schedules!I also haven’t been able to find where to view visit counts in the new app.

Let’s be honest — change isn’t always easy. Like many longtime members, I was used to the old system and felt a bit hesitant when I first saw the new YMCA North app. But after spending some time with it, I’m genuinely excited about where this is heading.The new features and layout definitely take a little getting used to, but I can already see the potential. It’s clear that this app is being built with the future in mind — better tools, more ways to connect, and a smoother experience for members.It’s not perfect yet, but I’m thrilled to see how it continues to develop. Good things come with time — and this is a great start.

Only b/c I got into the app and could find my location. Still the one thing I used all the time is gone! I loved being able to click on the class and have the option to add it to my iCal. This was NOT a reservation for a class with a size limit, simply a reminder that I had identified a class I was interested in. Why is that simple, helpful feature gone? The previous review that I wrote was misunderstood by whoever answered it.
