more I love this app for its simplicity in look but also the features that it has! Sure, you could be a little stumped because the app cost money to unlock all the features, however it’s a one time payment, and you choose how much you think is fair! I use this to track the days I workout and I run and so on and most importantly of all, when I send an email for recommendation and feedback on the app, Christian Rus (the developer) actually responds to the emails I send! Every single one of them he has gotten back in usually less than a day! Try the app out it’s pretty cool and the purchase was worth it for me at least.
Developer Response Thank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful review!I do my best to respond quickly to every email, and I really appreciate feedback and suggestions, they genuinely help shape the app and its future updates. Thanks again for your support and for recommending the app to others :)

Amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Just needs some functions to get past half baked. Like notes is so bare bones, gotta hit enter so I can read the full note. A calendar scroll for notes would be neat. Removing photo from a card doesn’t work at the moment. And let me input my own death age manually. The blocks that fill in is really great but I HATE that it starts from the right going left and also that it isn’t perfectly aligned there’s an extra 2 on the right side for no reason. Why not 10 x 10 rows? Lastly, the your life in stages would be really cool if it was actually useful. Like if everything in track could be plugged into it and give me a look at how I spend my time that way? I’d like to hold onto this app for the rest of my life and I don’t regret the purchase. Pretty pls consider these suggestions. Thank u!
Developer Response Thank you so much for your review and for the thoughtful suggestions!I’m currently working on improving the Notes experience. Notes weren’t originally a core part of the app, which is why they feel a bit bare‑bones right now, but I’m iterating on them so they become more useful and flexible over time.Regarding manually setting your own death age: that’s something I most likely won’t add. The idea behind the life view is to reflect the fact that we don’t really control how long we live, and the app tries to mirror that by not letting you arbitrarily choose a number. That constraint is part of the concept.I’m also working on making the charts more interesting and customisable. For now, they’re mainly meant as a quick way to see your life in different views, but I agree there’s a lot more potential there and I’m exploring ways to expand on it without losing the simplicity of the app. Thanks again for using the app and for taking the time to share detailed feedback, it really helps guide future updates.

I really love the widgets to keep track of the progress of hours, days, months etc. They’re minimal and really useful. However, it seems that every time the app is updated, a new bug is introduced almost without fail. As a dev myself, I know this can sometimes be hard to catch as new features are added, but as an user my experience has been frustrating as have to keep dealing with the bugs and hope it’s fixed in the next update. I hope you can consider adding some kind of bug report feature so we can let you know when something is not quite right. As for everything else, keep it up. I truly believe you have something special here.
Developer Response Hey there, Sorry to hear that! Can you please let me know what is broken? So I can fix it. If is the widgets in tinted mode, that is fixed already with the last update. Thanks!

This app is a testament to how great apps can be! Simple, less size, no tracking / subscription, and so on.. Widgets for this app are also great! I really wish this app is recommended in App Store or more easily findable on App Store! Came across this app on X (Twitter). Feedback: I’m surprised that I can’t search for this App by name and find it easily in the search results. Is it because I already installed it? Still, it should show up in the results and have the Open button instead of Download, right? All recommendations are for other apps that are similar sounding (like Lyft) or that have the name left as a part of the title.
Developer Response Thank you so much! We cannot control how App Store promotes the app and we are not going to fight on marketing with dodgy tricks to appear in search results easier. Hopefully the app will still grow by amazing users like you that just installs it and enjoy the app.PS: try the new update!

This update brings back the old grid widgets layout. From “Settings > Appearance > Compacted grid widgets” you can enable a more tight grid where symbols are bigger and there’s more space around the widget content.
If you experienced an issue where the app was blank or crashing, this update automatically fixes the problem.
DASHBOARD VIEW FOR HABITS AND STREAKS
See your habits at a glance with the new dashboard mode. Switch to a grid view to review the current week or the last two months of completed days, making it easier to check your progress and streaks for all of them in one single view.
CHOOSE YOUR TOOLS
You can now decide which tools appear in the bottom menu and which section opens by default. If you only use Left for habits or time tracking, you can simplify the app around that for example. All tools remain available in the Tools section.
THE EVERYTHING WIDGET
Introducing a new widget displaying four horizontal bars visualizing time remaining in the day, week, month, and year, with corresponding percentages. Choose from Regular, Rounded, Monospace, or Dot Matrix typeface.
WIDGETS REDESIGN
Mostly all the widgets now include new background options to follow the device, light mode, dark mode, pure black or always black. This unapt also unifies the symbols sizes and layout over all the widgets.
OTHER CHANGES
- Manual Lifespan: Now you can set up your own lifespan manually.
- Dynamic Wallpaper improvements: You can now use your own photos as wallpapers. We also added a new Calendar mode and the ability to view your life progress in months and weeks.
- Enhanced Habits: The small Habits List widget is now dynamic, showing up to 8 missing habits. It also now lets you keep visible the habits you already completed today. We also fixed an issue with deleting habit photos.
- Smarter calendar updates: Ahead dates synced to your calendar now update automatically if you make changes to them.
- Revamped Settings: Settings have been completely reorganized to make everything easier to find and customize.
- Reduce Motion effects: From Settings you can now disable some graphic effects to make the app smoother on older devices.
- Performance & speed: The app is now optimized for a smoother experience, and the app opens directly to your initial tab without delay. Notes are now faster and more consistent across Ahead and Since.
- Refinements and bug fixes: Dozens of improvements across the app based on your feedback.
Thank you for using Left!

Previous major update to 2025.9:
Time Ahead countdowns are here!
Left has been completely redesigned from the ground up. The app is now divided into three sections: Left, Ahead, and You. Each exploring time from a different perspective.
- Left: Keeps the original concept: a clean, minimal way to see how much time has passed and how much may lie ahead.
- Ahead: A new space to track upcoming events and special dates. Each one becomes a visual countdown you can customize and sync with your Calendar.
- You: A reflective experiment showing your life in perspective with lifespan progress, life stages, and how time distributes across youth, adulthood, and beyond.
You’ll also find full Calendar integration, refined design across every screen, and countless small improvements that make Left smoother, faster, and more cohesive.
If you enjoy Left, consider supporting its development with Left+. Your contribution makes continued updates possible.
The new Ahead and You sections requires iOS 26 or newer.

2025.7.6 09/28/2025
