I had the opportunity to work on a behind-the-scenes video project for a photography class led by two incredibly talented photographers. The goal was to create clear, engaging content that walks viewers through their full process—from setup, to shooting, to breaking down equipment—and it came together seamlessly.Using CraftNote, I was able to accurately capture and transcribe every detail from the original footage, ensuring nothing was missed. From there, I brought everything into CapCut, where I refined the audio, synced and spliced the video, added clean, easy-to-follow text overlays, and layered in subtle mid-tone background music to elevate the overall feel.The final result is a smooth, professional, and highly informative video series that not only explains the process step-by-step, but also keeps viewers engaged from start to finish. It’s a perfect blend of clarity, creativity, and polish—exactly what you want in educational content.

CraftNote Can Do What Speechify Cannot

Speechify was unable to read my textbook to me, was unable to process by picture, by pictures in documents of text, and did not have my textbook on file in their library when I took a picture of the cover which they advertise as their key feature. CraftNote was able to create a chapter summary based off of pictures of chapter pages from my textbook in a Google doc. 10/10 For a multimodal learner this type of transfer of information and assistance with processing is key to comprehension and CraftNote hit it out of the water. Goodbye Speechify!

Good App, Needs Improvement

Essentially, it’s a good app. But it has problems. 1, financial lack of transparency. Google says it’s free - WRONG. It’s a 3-day trial. Trial signup page says it’s $2/week - WRONG. It’s $79/year due at the end of the trial. No way to change it to a monthly or say ‘I’ll give my credit card later’. You’re forced to accept it in order to continue with the setup process. 2, notes are not a uniform layout and there is no export feature so I have to copy and paste the notes into a separate doc that I will have to clean up and format later before I can utilize it. 3, daily limit inconsistency. I have Pro for the duration of the trial. Pro is stated to have unlimited everything including uploads. But I was hit with a daily limit of 39 videos which is not sufficient for my project. Is it unlimited or not?! Oh and when I tried to leave a review, it asked me to email the CEO DIRECTLY, INSTEAD of leaving a review! How weird is that?! These are my biggest issues.

After the trial, the selected subscription renews at the price shown on the paywall and confirmed by Apple before purchase.We understand that pricing can feel confusing, especially when comparing weekly vs. annual plans, and we’re actively working on making this clearer and more transparent inside the app.Importantly, subscriptions are fully managed by Apple, and the final price and renewal terms are always shown on Apple’s confirmation screen before payment.2) Export functionalityThere is an export feature available. You can open a note, tap the Share icon in the top-right corner, and export as PDF, DOCX, or text. If that wasn’t visible or intuitive, that’s on us — we’ll review how to make this clearer.3) “Unlimited” usage & daily limitsPro removes most usage restrictions, but we do have fair-use safeguards in place to prevent abuse and system overload. These limits affect a very small percentage of users, but your case suggests we should re-evaluate how we communicate this. We agree that “unlimited” should feel consistent and clear.4) Contacting the CEOWe absolutely do not require anyone to email the CEO to leave a review. What you likely saw was an optional in-app feedback prompt, which is designed to let users share concerns directly with us so we can fix issues faster. Leaving a public review is always your choice.We truly value honest feedback like yours — it helps us improve. This is a great app but if you do the trial to test it out make sure that you are really careful when you cancel if you decide not to keep it. I hit something wrong I guess and now I’m stuck with paying for a year. This not a developer issue, but an Apple issue. The developer doesn’t control how Apple bills. I’m giving it 5 stars because the app works well. You don’t know you need it until you try it, then you wonder how you lived without it!!
