When you first open the app, you get an ad but there is a link to continue to the app. The in-app ads are still present but they don’t get in the way of using the app. The app is free, so you have to expect some ads. I did not explore all the categories, but they are separated into some good groups. The recipe I opened vegan brownies) has directions, but they were parsed in a way that made it awkward to read. The biggest problem I had was that I could only access the menu options at the bottom when I first went into the app. When I click into the search bar to bring up the keyboard, it covers the menu options. I could not get rid of the keyboard to access the menu without closing the app and reopening it.

I’m really loving the app because it’s so much more user friendly than Pinterest. They expect people to sit through or get the ad to disappear while trying to look up a recipe. Your banner ad is also super unpleasant and I do not enjoy it but it does respond to X! Getting recipes should not involve looking at irrelevant ads.

Can’t even get the app to load/display the email and password text boxes so I could sign in that way, so I tried using google to sign in (with the same gmail address I would have used for email sign in) but it didn’t recognize it as the same account and didn’t have any of my saved recipes. Tried searching for one of them and it gave me nothing but a bunch of photos with no actual recipes visible so I would’ve had to open every single one to locate the one I was actually looking for. Absolutely terrible.

I’m not the best cook, but this app makes everything so simple. The instructions are short and clear, and the calorie info helps a lot. I’ve tried three recipes so far and all of them turned out great.
