Working across time zones? Set the alarm on the other city's clock — a 9:00 meeting in New York, the London open, a UTC on-call window — and your phone rings on time.
Time Zone Alarm sets an alarm on another city's clock. Pick the city, pick the time there, and your phone rings at the right moment here. No mental math, no missed meeting.
It is an alarm app first: every alarm is pegged to a time zone you choose, and it shows both times side by side — the time THERE and the time HERE — so you can see exactly when it will ring.
REMOTE WORK & MEETINGS ACROSS TIME ZONES
Wake for a meeting scheduled in another office's time. Set 09:00 New York, 14:00 London, or 10:00 Singapore, repeat it on weekdays, and stop converting time zones in your head before every standup, handoff, or client call.
MARKETS & TRADING
Catch the open from anywhere. 09:30 New York for the opening bell, 08:00 London, 09:00 Tokyo — set it once on weekdays and it fires on the market's clock, not yours.
UTC & ON-CALL
Servers run on UTC. Put your on-call window, maintenance slot, or scheduled deploy on the zone it was actually planned in, and check it at a glance: every alarm shows its UTC offset, so what you set is what you meant.
FAMILY & FRIENDS ABROAD
Ring yourself at a good hour for them, not a rude one for you — a weekly call home, a birthday, a school run six zones away.

Update feb 2026: this app is promising but needs work. The alarm is not always working. The info in the top bar disappears regularly. I wish it worked and o hope the developers gets it working. But for now it is not good. I’m updating my review from January 2026 (see below) because the developer has made noticeable improvements. The alarm volume is now much better, and I particularly appreciate that the sound comes through the headset rather than the phone speaker—this makes it less disruptive to others nearby. There are still a few quirks when saving an alarm, but once you get the hang of it, the app does work. One ongoing issue is the limited selection of capital cities. For an app built around worldwide time zones, it’s surprising that capitals like Ankara and Ulaanbaatar are not recognized. Adding all major world capitals would make it much more useful.Overall, it’s moving in the right direction—thank you for the updates.Review Jan 12, 2026 Does not recognize cities. Does not save an alarm always. When the Alarm rings, it is just a ping not a real alarm. It seems to create a notification not a real alarm. The fact that the alarm can be set in other cities is good.
Developer Response
Update March 2026Thanks for the detailed feedback and for sticking with the app. With the latest update, alarm reliability has been significantly improved and should now work consistently without being missed.City coverage has also been expanded, and we’ll continue improving search and stability.Really appreciate your support.
• City search now finds thousands more cities, including Islamabad, Mosul, Mashhad, Constantine and Chattogram.
• Results appear as you type instead of only when a city name is spelled out in full.
• Common misspellings now find the right city.
• Search understands Arabic, Korean and Chinese city names.
• Searching a fixed offset such as GMT-6 or UTC+5 now returns that exact offset.
• Fixed searches that could return a city in the wrong country.
• Fixed an alarm's new name sometimes reverting to the name it was created with.
• The delete confirmation now appears at the bottom of the screen and clears on its own.
• If this iPhone cannot set an alarm you turned on, the alarm now says so and you can retry, instead of looking set.
• Support messages now include the alarm status this iPhone reports, so problems can be found faster.
