As a parent, I really try to monitor what my child is playing on their iPad. When screen time is allowed, we tend to get tons of ads for pay-to-play games. And it’s always a bit disgruntling when my daughter falls in love with a game only to find out $15+ is needed to unlock everything. With Netflix Playground, it comes with our subscription which means all games are unlocked! There are no nonsense ads. No links to accidentally take my daughter to a fishy site. Everything is very age appropriate and we are absolutely loving having a new Kpop Demon Hunters game to play! I know the app is in early stages, so I’m excited to see what else will come in the future. Overall, I’m really happy with this app and my daughter is able to play games during her allotted screen time without me worrying.

Just another time killer aimed at small kids

Netflix, if this is your strategy to attract kids to your platform earlier, try incorporating some originality and soul into your content instead of relying solely on popular IPs and sloppy gameplay. For instance, K-pop dh is probably the most useless game out there. A teenager could have vibe coded a better game. My kids lost interest within two minutes. Is that the best you can offer. Her is a single star for you.

I allow my kids to use devices for limited amount of time on 2 separate devices. App crashes anytime one of the kids gets on the app on a different device and logs them out. My kids do love the games but this is a huge issue that I’m sure will be fixed
