- No shadow bans. Divine runs on independent relays — servers that carry your content across the network — so no one company can lock you out.
- Your feed, your call. Choose your own algorithm instead of getting baited by ads.
- Open source, by design. The code is public. Inspect it, build on it, hold us to it.

Now, when this first came out and was website only, it was horrible. It was laggy and hard to use, but it’s better now that it’s no longer in beta form. My issue is that some videos will appear on users’ pages but not load and then say “content restricted”. I know it’s still starting out, but yeah. Also videos take too long to download and you can’t remove bookmarks. I also wish we had more videos archived, especially because on some peoples’ pages who had 1 or 2 popular vines, it doesn’t show those videos, just random ones nobody’s ever heard of. I also think it would be cool to add a byte archive. I wish we also could have a follow request private account system, because I don’t want to upload videos everyone can see, I just want to make videos for my friends and family right now. I believe the original app had a feature similar to this. Overall, great start, and if more promos come out and more features are added, this could be a great app.

Oh I use the iPhone SE first GEN but it doesn’t work on this install on a different phone but I think you should make it work on device to the iOS iOS 9 it will barely function but it should be installed it and it might function I don’t know yet I think maybe iOS 9 is pushing it for a recommendation but I think maybe iOS 12 or 10 is 10 would’ve been nostalgic pull out iOS 10 on your iPhone 5 and start using it yeah that would be cool maybe iOS 9 get some support but I hope this will help you get more people
Can’t upload videos

The fact that you can’t upload videos already on your camera roll feels kinda lame because from what I remember you could on the original vine? How else did we get “There’s only one thing worse than a rapist. Boom. A CHILD.” Yes six seconds is the perfect length for the funnies to happen however if you’ve got a funny moment in a longer video, like say you were waiting for something to line up perfectly, it’s too much to have to remember to SPECIFICALLY OPEN DIVINE rather than your camera app. It’s easier to open the camera app, film it, then go into Divine and trim the clip you’re looking for. And I’m pretty sure the magic clips that were done with editing were done when you could upload videos, so what’s the deal? Right now the app is filled with people who are trying to force old vine humor rather than letting it come naturally, and it’s not fun to be on. I feel like if we’re not allowed to upload our own videos the app will die.
Developer Response
We know this restriction bothers a lot of people. We are doing it to prevent the posting of AI generated content. We hope more cameras will support the c2pa content verification so we know it’s not AI. There are many apps you can upload content to but only one without AI slop. You can record as many videos as long as you want in the divine app and it saves them with content verification to your camera roll. The in app editor lets you pick and organize the clips you want in to a single video.

It’s cool- more of a gimmick atp. It would be “complete” if there was a sort of option to upload from camera role like the old vine, or if you could play music in the background and capture in the video. It was a sort of og way to work around the “no sounds” thing that musically (which obv would later become tik tok) really capitalized on. The camera role feature is really a deal breaker for me. I won’t be uploading or really using the app until they add it. And if they never do then I simply will never move from tik tok. It’s not that we’ve become spoiled by tik tok, it’s that it was ALWAYS a feature on old vine and now that it’s not supported on vines revival, it severely limits the ingenuity and creativity of users and creators.

Green screen: drop a chroma key on any clip and shoot your own background.
Borrow a clip or a sound, keep the credit. Reused work now points back to whoever made it, and creators decide whether their originals can be reused at all.

Publishing is about 32% faster. We took thumbnail work off the critical path so your loop goes live sooner.
Drafts save while you're still working, and a video can no longer go out under the wrong account.

Press and hold any video to fade the whole interface away. Let go and it's back. Nothing sticks, nothing gets stuck.
Playback toggles, content filters, and feed tuning are easier to find and easier to undo.
