On the surface this seems like exactly the kind of app I want, the story parts of Instagram without everything else that app has become, I enjoyed setting up the app and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of profile customization, but was very put off by the sudden appearance of an AI chatbot. The types of people flocking to an app like this, myself included, likely will not be the types of people okay with the presence of an AI seemingly trying to read and engage with what explicitly is marketed as being a private, close friends social app. If I could turn off the AI it’d be 5 stars.

It takes the close, homey feel away from the app and instead bring one of the least favorite features of big social media platforms to this space.
