Update - May 14-May 27, 2026: Journeys/planning was heavily rebuilt around a chat-first companion planner. “Plan My Day” became a more guided companion workflow with better day-plan logic, follow-up handling, multi-step scheduling, and safer fallbacks. Companion chat and companion intelligence expanded a lot. The app moved more surfaces onto the unified companion agent, added stats analysis/fantasy titles, improved casual chat routing, and cleaned up session/history/thread handling. Companion evolution and media got a major upgrade. Hatch/evolution now use a stronger video pipeline, better portrait centering/cutouts, improved stage-0 egg handling, and more polished reveal/replay moments. Subscriptions/paywalls saw a long stability pass. Native iOS subscription recovery, entitlement verification, TestFlight handling, transfer recovery, paywall bypass/recovery logic, and offer code handling were all tightened. Calendar, reminders, and location support improved. Google/Outlook OAuth flows were fixed, calendar refresh/sync got more reliable, custom early reminders were added, and quests gained location autocomplete plus Apple/Google Maps links. Performance and reliability improved across the app. Startup got lighter, PWA precache was reduced, planner sync churn/offline retries were cut down, and account deletion/storage cleanup became more fault-tolerant.

May 12-18th Fixed Quests tab date reset behavior so the date pills properly recenter/remount when Quests resets to today. Hardened Apple subscription recovery and transfer flows, with new admin recovery tooling and safer binding transfer handling. Fixed stage-0 companion visuals so eggs now use the correct fixed egg art. Improved pep talk regeneration so it consistently uses the primary mentor voice. Polished companion visuals and launcher presentation with better portrait centering and PhotoRoom-based cutouts. Cleaned up Journeys a bit by removing pull-to-refresh and moving “send to external calendar” into advanced settings.

Update - May 4th-May 6th, 2026: Reworked subscriptions and paywalls on iOS (replaced RevenueCat with native StoreKit 2, consolidated paywalls, added Apple promo/offer support, and synced Apple creator offer codes for Tolt affiliates). Improved onboarding personalization and quest setup (fixed mentor gender-preference matching, refined onboarding backdrops, fixed quest input auto-advance, and improved time parsing during quest creation). Hardened account deletion and storage cleanup (tracked generated storage assets, made orphaned-file cleanup non-fatal, and expanded deletion fallbacks so account removal succeeds more reliably). Strengthened missions, epics, and notification reliability (fixed daily mission completion and mission RPC drift, improved epic invite sharing, and tightened notification/install dedupe and widget sync behavior).

Update 3.5 - Mar 10-Mar 24, 2026: Improved recurring quest scheduling integrity (recurring quests now require a scheduled time across Add/Edit flows, recurring quests can no longer be sent to Inbox without a time, clearer recurrence validation/error messaging was added, and auto-spawn now skips invalid recurring templates with guidance to fix them). Expanded the Today planner context (embedded active campaigns directly into the timeline pane, kept campaign progress and rituals visible alongside scheduled quests, and preserved a lighter campaign strip when no scheduled timeline rows exist). Smoothed touch and timeline interactions (added drag-time scroll locking on touch devices, tightened mobile timeline drag handling, and cleaned up timezone date formatting used by planner and mission flows). Hardened daily missions, companion, and mini-game resilience (added generation fallbacks when mission reads fail or return empty, improved client/server mission error handling, added safer companion dialogue bootstrap/refresh behavior, and fixed Galactic Match level-complete progression with an explicit Continue path and race-condition guards).

Update 3.4 - Mar 2-Mar 9, 2026: -Refined quest tutorial and creation UX (simplified Add Quest flow, compact header/layout polish, clearer title/time interactions, tutorial-aware time auto-fill, and updated mentor guidance copy). -Expanded recurrence and scheduling support (added monthly/custom month-day recurrence fields, upgraded Add/Edit recurrence controls, improved short-month handling, and stronger recurring task spawn behavior). -Improved calendar and Outlook sync reliability (recurrence-aware Outlook Calendar/To Do mapping, safer handling of unsupported multi-day monthly cases, and better quest-to-calendar sync guards). -Hardened schema-drift/offline resilience (fallback reads/writes when recurrence columns are missing, guarded month-based creation with clear errors, offline queue safety updates, and broader fallback-path test coverage). -Strengthened platform reliability across auth, companion, missions, and subscriptions (full profile-default provisioning, cleaner auth-scoped state resets, companion regeneration/cache refresh improvements, deterministic daily-missions fallback with rate-limit handling, expanded account-deletion cleanup, and stronger Apple receipt verification/paywall layout coverage).

Update 3.3 - Feb 16-25, 2026: -Improved the guided tutorial and mentor onboarding flow (cleaner intro, better route restoration, interaction guards, and option to hide tutorial). -Refined mentor experience and UI polish (fixed header/safe-area issues, overlay protection, guidance card updates, restored mentor entries). -Made companion evolution more reliable (job flow hardening, durable recovery, better prompt behavior, and timeout rollback for stability). -Upgraded quest timeline interactions (smoother drag behavior, reduced jitter at bounds, improved edge-hold cadence, clearer timeline markers). -Fixed backend/data reliability issues (push token policy fix, handling missing task_attachments, transcript sync stabilization, and new award_xp_v2 DB function).
