Some days I'm using it all day. For the majority of my work I do a lot of prompting for AI agents, and this is definitely a huge time saver. I switch back and forth between using my Mac and using my iPhone, and having the same app in both places has been great. The accuracy is pretty phenomenal, and I can tell that the developers are continuing to improve it. If you're looking for speech to text I would definitely recommend giving Monologue a try. I'm dictating this right now and I won't make any corrections. So if you see any issues in this review, take that for what you will, and if it's perfect, well, that's mostly been my experience with it as well.

Total game changer! This makes dictation actually usable, especially for lengthy dictations. The ability to create Modes with rules for different apps or websites is amazing. The Notes feature is also very powerful and has allowed me to capture my thoughts ad hoc and send them to my Notion task inbox. Give Monologue a try, especially if you work on your phone and Mac desktop… it works seamlessly across both.

I've tried several other dictation tools, but Monologue has by far given me the best quality and accuracy over time. It doesn't just transcribe what you said, but it processes it with an LLM to clean it up and enrich the inputs, often even figuring out what you meant to say, even if you stumbled while saying it.5/5 I always recommend this tool when anyone mentions voice dictation

I love the Every newsletter so much that the apps feel like a bonus. I fell in love with using dictation with Wispr Flow but realized I could do similar or same with Monologue. I have yet to test M on Mac and hoping it has some of the smart saving properties that Wispr does! (Like if I forget to put my cursor in the right place can I go back and grab the transcript from the app directly?) Stoked to give it a try.

Monologue now supports iOS 27 with new Siri AI integration. Ask Siri to find and open your notes, discover them through Spotlight, and access them with Shortcuts.
We’ve also improved search in Monologue. Search across your synced notes and filter by tags to find what you need faster.
