I am a diligent student, and when I added honorlock as my college demands for our tests. Once I’m in my final, with a three hour time limit my computer started flashing like a strobe light. I had to speak with support, which was hard since my screen was flashing. And they made a FALSE CLAIM, that it was my computer and to sign out and back in. Instead of being a respectable business and doing something useful. I lost a hour and did poorly on my exam with my limited time and emotional distress knowing that this final meant a lot to me. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS. But with the fact it’s a one star rating, I think it’s obvious that everyone thinks that,

This add on made me feel extremely uncomfortable and stressed out. It made me do things that seem so weird like recording my voice and taking photos of me and showing my government id, and changing my settings. I dropped my pre calculus class because i couldn’t handle the stress of testing while spending time setting up this disgusting extension. Please, and I mean it, do not download this. After the time i spent setting it up it randomly just deleted chrome making me not able to do my 1 time test, causing me to drop the class.

If your course requires Honorlock, drop the class. Whoever designed this app should switch career choices. Forced to monitor your every move, requires government id/ information, requires facial recognition. This app will close your test as soon as the proctor “feels needed” you will spend more time trying to please your proctor then actually being able to take the tests. I don’t understand how this app has not been shut down or flagged.

It’s enough that I HAVE to have it on my computer for school it should Never be on another personal device. The AI proctor times out constantly, pauses my tests to make me pick up my device so it can scan my surroundings multiple times and expects me to have an entire dining room amount of empty space to test in quietly on my own. Bring back actual teachers who care about learning and not paranoid about cheating.
