The old app was working just fine. The style of this one is much better however it’s useless. Ever since updating I’m having massive connection issues both on this app and the desktop version. Despite saying my printer is online one second it says it’s offline the next. Once I start a print it doesn’t let me monitor it, it just says offline until the print is done then I have to power cycle my printer again for it to show online

Be prepared to spend hours and hours figuring out how to print something. Desktop software doesn’t work anymore and everything is now in multiple apps. Want to download something? Great, download 2 other 3rd party apps, create logins and sign in each time, then when you finally do that and try to slice you can figure out how to print. That’s all after spending a 1/2 day trying to get your printer to the new software which won’t download and they don’t have the right firmware on their website. If you’re lucky enough to access their Google Drive link on your phone, you can email yourself a link, download on laptop, transfer to USB drive and finally manually install firmware.Highly recommend you stay away from this brand and go another route. UI is absolutely horrific

Setting up my new AD5X was so easy. It looks amazing. It printed an amazing little test coin. I was so excited. Then I downloaded the app (and deleted and redownloaded three more times…) and it will not bind to my brand new printer. The first try it at least showed up in the app, but says my brand new printer needs an update. So I updated. Still didn’t work. So I deleted my account and the app to start over and then the notification says it binder, but nope it doesn’t show up in the app and the app shows no device… Not a great look for a new customer. I hope they fix it or just delete and be more transparent that there’s no way that wireless is ever going to g to work and you’d better get a thumb drive or a computer that can run a LAN…

This is absolutely way better than their previous app, Flash Maker. Well done Flashforge. This app actually lets you login now, and the UI is so much better. The only problem I can see people having, is updating their firmware to 5.0. Here’s a guide on how to do it:1. In the app you will most likely see your printer that you had in Flash Maker. Click on it, and if you get the pop-up click on the Upgrade button, or the blue text.2.Download the file on a laptop or computer, and move the file to a EMPTY USB drive.3. Make sure printer is powered off, and then plug USB in.4. That’s it! Now let the printer update and restart, and you can now use it in the appGood job Flashforge on this new app. Major improvements compared to Flash Maker.
