Enjoy old games of memories
RTM EMU is the most ambitious emulator on iOS — built to run PC games and PlayStation 2 classics natively on your iPhone, with the polish of a modern app and the flexibility of a real desktop emulator.
Two emulators in one app
- PC — runs PC games right on iOS. Drop in your favourite point-and-click adventure, RPG, indie title, or retro Windows classic and it runs. No jailbreak, no sideloading, no PC required.
- PS2 — relive the PlayStation 2 era with the included PS2 emulator core. Bring your own legally-owned ISOs.
- More on the way — vote for the next emulator we add right from the in-app Discord button.
Quick-launch hub
A unique drag-and-hold pie wheel lets you pick your emulator with a flick. Hold any segment for a second to set it as your default — the next time you open the app it jumps straight to your favourite.
A controller that fits your hand
- Built-in on-screen gamepad with multiple layouts (analog stick + face buttons, WASD circle, Type-C custom layout).
- Customise everything — drag any button to any spot, resize, mix-and-match analog sticks, mouse-cursor pads, or labelled keys.
- Two-controller support so you can play split-screen co-op classics.
- Plug in MFi or PS / Xbox controllers — full hardware controller support is built in.
Live in-game translator
Stuck on a Japanese RPG? Tap the globe icon and RTM EMU captures the screen, OCRs the on-screen text, and overlays a live translation in your language. Supports English, Mandarin, and more on the way.
Save & load anywhere
- Save states on PS2 (and on PC with Pro) — pick up exactly where you left off.
Performance you can feel
- Selectable CPU profile (P3 fast mode) for demanding games.
- HD-graphics toggle, frame-skip, FPS overlay, optional black-screen filter.
- Click-only mouse mode for AGS / point-and-click games (smoother than per-pixel tracking).
Localised
Full English and 中文 support, with more languages on the roadmap.

Really, it is. I just wish the emulator that claims to run PS2 games could actually run PS2 games. I’ve been trying all night to get Final Fantasy X to play (and it does, don’t get me wrong). But because of all the music and the graphics, it just doesn’t want to go past 6 minutes in the story. I don’t know if it’s my phone (iPhone17) or the emulator itself but something needs to change here. It would be really nice if the emulator that allowed you to “Play PS2 Games” actually allowed you to do so. Other than that good job guys. You made an emulator that allows you to play PS2 games, however crashy it may be. I hope to see it be less crashy in the future. 3 stars
The I is nice but it just doesn’t work

So basically I was trying to play ultimate spider man but all it gave me was a black screen and I saw a video of the app and it worked fine but it could be that ultimate spider man just doesn’t work but then I tried mvsc 2 new age of hero’s a game that is in the apps picture but I still doesn’t work I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it is the app so I would like some help to see what I’m doing wrong
It works just as expected

The emulator accomplishes its goal, which is to run PS2 titles with 2D graphics and little 3D graphics. Indeed, it does, running them at 50–60 FPS. It also runs almost every other PS2 title; the ones with much more 3D graphics may work, but with low frame rates such as 13–19 FPS, and others at 20–25 or 22–27 FPS. Don’t expect most of them to be playable. Hopefully, there’ll be future updates that are going to improve compatibility even more.
Promising… but not ready

The PS2 was such a loved console because of the incredible library of mostly 3D games and the enormous steps it took after the PS1. That said, a PS2 emulator that doesn’t run true 3D games (it just doesn’t), isn’t really much of a PS2 emulator in my opinion.HOWEVER, the fact that this app even exists and that it can run 2D PS2 games is amazing. I am excited to see where this goes from here, but I don’t believe this app was quite ready for release, at least for the purposes that I wanted to use it for. I was thinking 3 stars because I have enjoyed it at times, but including “PS3” in the app title? c’mon guys
