The ringing won't stop. It doesn't have to.
You can't stop the waves. But you can learn to surf them. MyPattern helps your brain change its relationship with tinnitus, not by drowning it out, but by teaching your brain to stop treating it like an alarm. It's called habituation, and it's how people with tinnitus get their attention back.
This isn't a single sound played on loop. It's a complete program of sound therapies and mental tools shaped around you and your tinnitus, paired with the story of why your brain won't let the sound go, and how to loosen its grip.
13 SOUND THERAPIES IN ONE APP
The largest tinnitus sound library in any app, built on approaches from published tinnitus research.
- Notched Sound Therapy (the classic, based on Pantev 2010 research)
- S Tones (40 Hz pulse stimulation)
- Acoustic Coordinated Reset (Tass style desync)
- CAABT, DFCRS, Auditory Discrimination Training
- Personalized to your tinnitus pitch
...and more
Every ear is different. Explore the library, find the sound that softens yours, and switch any time.
PERSONALIZED IN MINUTES
A 60 second quiz finds your unique tinnitus frequency, type, and severity. Your therapies are tuned to you, not a one size fits all preset.
A PROGRAM THAT REBUILDS YOUR PEACE, DAY BY DAY
The backbone of MyPattern is CBT, the approach with the strongest research behind it. Short daily lessons that build on each other, the way habits do.
- Audio lessons on how tinnitus actually works
- Exercises for stress, sleep, and anxiety
- Daily check ins to notice how far you've come
- New content added regularly, your practice deepens over time
PHYSICAL RELIEF FOR THE SPIKES
Sometimes the noise rises with tension in your jaw or neck. MyPattern includes hands on exercises to release it.
- Occiput tapping
- Seated neck laterals
- Mastoid massage
- TMJ jaw release
SOS TOOLS FOR THE HARD MOMENTS
Spike at 3am? Can't focus? Overwhelmed? Tap SOS. Guided breathing, grounding, and calming audio to walk you through the storm until it passes. Because it passes.
MILO, YOUR AI TINNITUS COMPANION
Ask anything about your tinnitus, your therapies, or the thoughts that come with the noise. Milo draws on published tinnitus research, not generic AI chatter. Milo is an AI assistant and doesn't give medical advice.
SLEEP SOUNDSCAPES
Gentle rain, distant thunder, summer night, cosmic dreams. Soundscapes made for tinnitus ears, built to keep you company until sleep does.
PROGRESS YOU CAN SEE
Your streak, your therapy time, your trends, your calendar. Habituation is slow the way seasons are slow. You don't see it change day to day. Then one afternoon you realize you forgot to listen for it.
THE SCIENCE, SIMPLIFIED
Somewhere along the way, your brain filed this sound under threat. That's why it feels loud, urgent, impossible to ignore. MyPattern helps you refile it, from alarm to wallpaper, from siren to ticking clock. The sound may stay. The struggle doesn't have to.
This doesn't happen overnight. It takes daily practice. That's exactly what the app is built for.

This app has actually found my sound, the first time I can say I know what it is. That in itself is a kind of relief for me. The exercises are all very different, but I can feel what these corrective sounds do in some of the exercises. I have found two so far that I find helpful. I haven’t heard them all yet, but I will. Daily practice can be difficult, but I am trying to find the time, which is not always the same time of day. I am continuing on the best I can. The other exercises available are also helpful. After decades of tinnitus issues, I have hope that I may release these neurons and the sound in my head. Thanks.

This is a useless exercise in futility. Their exercises don’t work. The free trial is bogus and it doesn’t give you a chance to see any results in the 7 days. You just go through a week of random exercises that they say that the science is not provable and will not get results in one night of trying them. Each exercise is different and you’re supposed to rate them to see if they helped which you cannot determine in one night of using it. All their studies are based on using “ the pattern” exercise for weeks and only then, a few people will have positive results. Meanwhile they are counting down the days while you’re distracted and they can charge you 79 dollars for a yearly subscription! All based on science that they don’t even know works! My tinnitus is worse now because of the cortisol jump after seeing the charge come through. When you sign up it says you will be billed monthly at $6.59 and all of a sudden boom, $79 on your credit card all for you to help them study if any of these methods work and rate them. Slick huh???Usually, somebody pays you for a study but these guys have figured out how to make a profit off of the misery of others suffering with tinnitus!!!!!! Don’t do this!
I might pay for something more adjustable.

I’ve determined, on my own study with a tone generator that I have multiple tones and they dance around the notches you have as results. There’s a 13khz, a 15khz, possibly something around 10khz or lower sometimes. It’s a constant sound of something like a bunch of old glass TVs used to make but the sound is pretty loud. I live with this 24/7. Some customizability and ability to cover multiple tones would be nice. I find it frustrating to have to retake and fix the test and switch between your 14khz and 16khz.
Developer Response
Hi Kuma, thank you for this feedback! We love this suggestion and are adding the ability to switch between frequencies smoothly. Should be live in the next few days. If you have any more feature requests, we would love to hear them - just email us at hello@mypattern.app. Your input directly shapes how we build this.
Relaxing & Helpful
Cammytou
I’ve been using this app for about three weeks now. I love my nightly “practice.” It’s very relaxing and has provided me with many tips to help alleviate my tinnitus at this point. I have also provided improvement suggestions and the developer team is extremely responsive and friendly. So far so good! I’m looking forward to this helping me even more as I continue.
• Your sessions start faster and play more smoothly.
• Fewer crashes, and no more surprise restarts.
