SOUTHBOUND helps you keep a record of days spent in Florida, with location tracking, a daily calendar, and reports for your advisor.
TRACK YOUR FLORIDA DAYS
Background location updates record your device's location when iOS detects significant movement. See your recorded Florida days, your selected annual goal, and your remaining departure budget. Review missing days and correct entries when needed.
REVIEW YOUR RECORD
Use the calendar to review daily records and add notes. Catch Up lets you enter earlier trips. Manual entries remain distinct from location-derived records.
EXPORT FOR YOUR ADVISOR
Create a PDF report or export CSV files with daily records and recorded location samples. Reports identify manual entries and gaps. Share your records with your tax advisor for review.
YOUR LOCATION HISTORY STAYS PRIVATE
Location records stay on your device and sync to your personal iCloud account when enabled. Southbound cannot access your location history. No Southbound account is required. Apple and RevenueCat process purchases and subscription status.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
Southbound records the device's location, not proof of the owner's presence. Tracking depends on permissions, device settings, and location updates. Stationary days, a powered-off phone, or disabled permissions can leave gaps. Review your records regularly.
Southbound does not determine tax residency or domicile. A Florida day count alone does not establish residency or eliminate another state's tax obligations. Day-count rules vary by state. Reports are documentation aids, not tax or legal advice, and acceptance by a taxing authority is not guaranteed.
PRICING AND FOUNDING MEMBERS
Southbound remains free until September 15, 2026. Users who first downloaded Southbound before September 15, 2026 keep all features free for life as Founding Members.
For new users from September 15, the annual subscription is $249.99/year in the U.S. A 14-day free trial is available to eligible users. Regional prices appear in the app before purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
